oh yeah. I GOT A STICKER!!! Got it from a Jeep dealer. Thanks Josh

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

awesome about the sticker. now you don't need to deal with a tire that deflates every 6 hours.

Any chance they'd pass the red jeep once its emissions situation is in order? PM me if you want :sunshine:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yea, if they were mine i'd light the tire on fire and roll it off a cliff into a large pile of something ridiculous.

Is Josh who I think he is? Cause I need a sticker as soon as I get my Jeep able to stop/turn well. :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I work about 25 min south of Marlborough; I could probably make a drive up that way at some point this wk since I'm still not sure about this wkend yet.
ok, let me know. We can meet halfway or something. I'll grab the shafts from storage tonight and just keep them in the jeep till I run into you.

I'll do the same, except replace storage with garage and Jeep with altima.

Edit: And with that I think it's time to leave. I'll just finish working from home tonight.

Yah, Josh is masswrecker on NAXJA. he posts on the lots-o-post thread every once in a while. AFAIK they'll pass anything as long as you don't have a CEL, but you'll have to ask him.

The dude that did my sticker asked why I took the big tires off and said that if anything was wrong he'd just close his eyes and keep clicking 'pass'.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Keith - while looking at google maps just now I realized there are a whole bunch of fire roads in the woods around little massabesic lake, ever been up there? I figure since they're marked on google maps as roads they're legal.

Also, it's amazing how easy it is to spot old railbeds and rights of way in satellite view and/or terrain view on google maps, even decades after the rails have been pulled up.

I drive by there every day. Any trails I've seen have a gate at the end of them. Although there are 2 right up the street from me. There is Old Chester Turnpike and Pomp Rd. Both are almost guarenteed to be flooded to hell.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright, I thought that was Josh. I already talked to him a while back... still planning on swinging by as soon as my brakes are done. If brakes are done before steering then I will be picking up a drag link from the JY and hoping it has decent TREs.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ahhh, darn. I guess that tends to indicate they aren't legal :(

Looking at Old Chester Turnpike, it looks like Gardner Road might be fun too, from the treeline it looks like it used to go through all the way to the other side where it connects to Bunker Hill Road. I wonder what my old GPS unit would have told me about that, it loved to send me down roads which no longer existed (not that I minded in the least.)

EDIT: and yeah, it looks like it goes straight across a lake!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I knew of another road in chester but I can't remember the name of it to save my life. There was a 4 foot deep gully with a stream running through it.

The NEA has a Map Six program that is attempting to gain knowledge of every class VI road in NH. there is info about it on their website.

that just prompted me to try logging into NEA... and my god I remembered my password on the first try. :D

Now I need to figure out if I need to do something to be registered as a member since I am part of a NEA club or not.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm bored. but i'm hammering out job applications and need to start my aerodynamics homework. it is the last homework set I'll ever have as an undergraduate so I might as well do it well, but it's nice out, damnit!
