THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I'm pretty bored right now. Half the people around here took the day off (and my boss decided to work from home) so there isn't much going on. I should be working on my weekly spreadsheet update but I don't feel like it right now. I think I will go for a walk around the building. Thankfully this week will be quick/easy as I only have MAYBE 20 updates so far, and most of them are going to be 1 line updates... as opposed to some weeks when I am pushing 40-50 detailed updates. I will get the rest of the details in the AM so that does me no good right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mondays are almost always my non-productive day. I get a bunch of administrative stuff out of the way. I have to take a drive down to Scituate probably tomorrow morning to make sure our test site will work. I'm also covering for my old section manager on his CAM role (financial admin crap).

Nothing stressful. Though my presentation that's due this Friday is lame. Way too much effort involved in something the professor won't even comment on. Though it was kind of fun "Architecture and Design of an Off-Highway Vehicle".

i think the lesson to be learned here is be smart about which neighbor you piss off.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha awesome. that may be a good way to get your rig impounded though.

Anthony, if you're bored want to ask around to see if anyone you know at work needs a new graduate mechanical engineer?

I'm that neighbor :D
On a side note: I love that my math teacher only assigns us the problems that have the answers in the back of the book. HW takes about 20 minutes tops.

Mine used to do the same, except we had to show all work and so the back of the book was just to verify that we were correct... and if we didn't get the answer right we were expected to go back and redo the problem (well it wasn't so much that we were expected to, it was more we did that so we got full credit to pull our final grade up a bit), so it only made the hw take longer :banghead:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i have a feeling you'd learn very quickly what handcuffs feel like.

yeah, that part might not go over to well. id tune it down alittle bit, instead of driving over and leaving my jeep on his nice audi, id just do some huge dounts and burnouts in his front lawn. then it would at least have to be proven it was me. (note to self/others, make sure you use different tires when you do it and swap them back after. hard to prove if the tread patterns dont match up)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that just proves it's premeditated. if you did it in a rage it would be more excusable in court. not saying it's excusable, but in court it would fly better. it's not a matter of getting caught or not, in my opinion. it's about how bad the punishment would be.

Cameras will still wreck your whole day... everyone's got a camera phone now. You'll be feeling like a supervillain until you find out that someone was like "holy shit! that's awesome" and took a video then posted it to youtube 3 minutes later.

That and some people have some type of surveillance setup nowadays. My parents are even talking about having something setup so we can hear people coming up our driveway.

Yup, my buddies father just installed a camera overlooking his driveway, just cause his downstairs neighbors are a bunch of lunatics and their kids are retarded so he has it keeping an eye on their cars/front door (well the walkway up to the door). I don't blame him really, I would do the same. One of the kids already put a glass bottle behind the tire of my car when I stopped by one day. Thankfully it didn't blow out the tire somehow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I havn't logged onto NAXJA in days. I'm not reading the massive amount of pages in this thread.

All I will say is I love local Mom&Pop shops.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Scott - you work somewhere near Marlborough right? Any chance we could meet up to exchange those d30 shafts sometime this week (unless you're still doing the PA trip this weekend)? I don't really need them yet but I'm sure you could use spares and I don't want to forget, just have to grab mine out of my storage unit the day beforehand.

Paul - any chance you need more 99.5-down unit bearings? I know you said make an offer (which I'm perfectly happy doing) but I'm pretty sure I have at least one set of 99.5-down unit bearings sitting around that I probably won't be using at this point. The MJ is staying 99.5-down but I think I have a few sets... not really sure, will take inventory tonight.

Bill - what'd you get? Also I might need to pick your brain about fuel cells later... I can't find a drop-in replacement for my MJ's fuel pump assembly (the whole thing) anywhere and I might as well go with a fuel cell anyways because it's cheaper than even the wrong fuel pump assembly that every parts shop tells me will fit :smsoap:

I work about 25 min south of Marlborough; I could probably make a drive up that way at some point this wk since I'm still not sure about this wkend yet.
