THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

probly works to 100 on the 97+

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think we need to test this theory. Who's got a 97+ and doesn't mind speeding tickets?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmmm, could put stock tires on someones geared jeep that has cruise

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey, that would simulate going over 100 mph (at least to the jeep and computer) yet youd still maintain a reasonable speed without fear of tickets

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark if you make me go read my truck's manual (SAME EXACT SETUP) I'm going to smack the XXXX out of you.

People complain about the heating element breaking all the time because they plain SUCK. I see the same thing all over cumminsforum. They use like 24 gauge wire from the factory to feed the power.

I guarantee you there is a way to bypass all of that crap and send power direct to them, the computer isn't integrated with the heating element.

You're retarded.

Anyone complaining about simple automotive wiring is DUMB.

Therefore, Mark, is, dumb.

-99.8% of the crap in your car takes 12 volts
-If a wire is black, it's a ground.
-If a wire is a color other than black, it's power.

HOW CAN YOU XXXX THAT UP!?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

XXXXing dickwads made me go through my FSM for my truck. I'm going to assume all the WJ stuff is the exact same setup as my truck (which I'd be surprised if it wasn't).

There's the CTM (Central Timer Module) located under the dash that controls a lot of the interior accessories, so you were right there. There is a positive feed to the control module sent through a fuse and relay from the battery (not sure what pin on the WJ).

The module receives input from the temp sensors, and sends the battery power to the heating element depending on which switch is pressed and at what temperature the elements are currently at.

So it looks like all you need is the CTM. If you don't have that, then I wouldn't even bother hooking it up.

You could also probably manual wire in the ZJ stuff.

Why do you need the heated seat portion anyway? I say eff it.

SHUT UP AND JUST START CONNECTING WIRES

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yellow is an intermittent ground on XJs... power it and your lights will cease to work and you may light your wiring on fire when the doors get opened

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what time? you should stop by for a beer or something if it's toward the evening, I'll be in billerica all morning/afternoon though.

After billerica you heading anywhere near the tool shed or whatever that place is called? If I can get to Worcester in time to stop by there I think I might have to stop in and check for a tap wrench, I just want someone to point me in the right direction :gee:

WRONG

I connect random wires together all the time. I'm almost positive i've smashed some yellow wires together to some red wires in my XJ.

NOTHING BUT AWESOME HAPPENED

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Carmelo can wire up a 220V plug on a cherokee

I can wire anything, most of the time without wires.

Can you do THAT Ken!? Mr. Electrical engineer and all your electrical knowledge.

OK, I'm a ham radio nerd too, we do that whole wireless thing pretty well :D

Ken looked at my wireing in my Jeep and i thought he was going to cry.

hahaha yeah you have a regular rats nest of disaster wiring in there. I'm very OCD about my wiring and tend to abuse zip ties and dry vinyl tape like it is my job.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
