Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i really really want a dbl cheese burger from bk. don't know why but i want it.

Get a quad stacker from BK if they still have it and play a game with yourself:

Can you eat the whole thing and not puke?

I ate a little over half of one and wanted to turn my insides out.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm so hungry...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i had Five Guys for lunch today, bacon cheeseburger w/BBQ sauce :D
I got that on the way home yesterday :D Bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms, jalepenos, and A1 sauce

i just ate chinesse
I was craving chinese at lunch time, tempted to go get some for dinner (or just be cheap and make myself a sandwich).

Or make myself a stirfry. Now that sounds like one hell of an idea.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone even joking about living near me should realize that when left to my own devices, I tend to do stupid things like erect 30 foot antenna towers in yards, leave junky looking vehicles parked outside, and use angle grinders and other loud machine tools up until about midnight on weekdays and well past that on weekends. I leave transmissions in the living room or on my porch for months on end. I am not really what one would consider an ideal neighbor unless you're also a bachelor gearhead... hm, wait, this is NAXJA.

Also, forget about property values till after I leave...
you sound like a good neighbor to me

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I lifted Maegen's jeep yesterday 3 inches using coils off Rob's old XJ, free teraflex control arms, Rancho shocks, an RE 1600 track bar, and a bastard pack made from Chevy Colorado leafs. The wheels and tires are stock Rubicon takeoffs.

You guys are XXXXXXs, I've downed entire triple whoppers in less than 5 minutes and barely felt it :spin1:

Jeepman401 - hahaha I should have figured you'd say that, I pulled up to your place to drop that stuff off and went "DAMN this guy has a lot of cool toys"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Are you guys all dumb, or can you read what I posted before? Have you not read all the posts of people trying to get their WJ seats heaters to work?

You are dumb.

There is a relay underneath the seat. Talk to Adam.

That is all.
Yes, Adam has ZJ seats, and I've already talked to him. I'm getting WJ seats.

You're still dumb.

You're overthinking this. It's the same setup in my truck. You don't need any of that crap. I guarantee you you can bypass the module or tap into a wire at the connector send straight power to the relay.

You don't need the switches/pigtails.
The thing is, the WJ seats have temp sensors in them. I looked at wiring diagrams for both the ZJ and WJ, and they are different. It would be sweet if all I have to do is send power to them, and I'll be happy if thats that, but the WJ site I looked at says that the signals go through the damn computer that controls all the interior functions, Adam even said that.

Why would I not get OEM switches? (Not to mention there are like 5 terminals coming out of the OEM switches)

Exactly. Just put a simple relay and switch to it. If it gets to hot, shut it off. Simple.
Wow, I'm surprised you suggested that.

And why would I not wire them up so they work as they should, so they realize how hot they are and keep that heat, rather than burn the seat? (as burning the seat is a common problem with them as it is)
I am no electrical engineer but under the seat there isnt going to be a whole lot of wires.
That shows.

Two motors?- Like 6 wires for those
Heat thingy?- 2 more wires?

That is a total of around 8 wires. Think you can handle it Mark? They might be all sorts of different colors but dont let that confuse you.

Nope, definitely too high tech for me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark if you make me go read my truck's manual (SAME EXACT SETUP) I'm going to smack the XXXX out of you.

People complain about the heating element breaking all the time because they plain SUCK. I see the same thing all over cumminsforum. They use like 24 gauge wire from the factory to feed the power.

I guarantee you there is a way to bypass all of that crap and send power direct to them, the computer isn't integrated with the heating element.

You're retarded.

My heated seat is broken. I need to fix the break in the bottom of the seat. LAME

Sure, there is, but I would bet that if you just feed full power to the element all the time you will either burn it out or melt/set the seat on fire. If it has a temp sensor in it, it's probably using it in closed loop mode to pulse width modulate the element and keep it at the required temp. Duplicating that wouldn't be very hard, but it'd require taking some measurements from a stock seat working in a WJ OR some info from the FSM to do.

Either that, or I'm overthinking this too. I tend to do that when it comes to electronics.

EDIT: who the hell needs silly crap like heated seats anyways? My ass doesn't get cold when I get in the XJ in the winter because I am WEARING PANTS. My hands however are generally freezing if I forgot my gloves.
