THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, i've found a few that look pretty promising. maybe i'll go check out ziprealty.com now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Feel free to look in those towns.

I'd rather not go near eastern MA. Almost all the towns are going down the tubes.

Milton used to be a REALLY nice/wealthy town. They just found ammunition at the high school and recently someones house got broken into with the guys owning "automatic weapons". Randolph used to not be TOO bad, but now the high school is losing its accreditation. Stoughton? Don't even get me started on the public schooling here. Not to mention there was recently two murders here.

I'm planning on moving north or west of framingham/marlborough. If it takes me another year to save the money so be it.
believe me, i'd love to live in the hudson/acton area. if you can make newport closer to hudson, i'll do it. till then... kthanks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am starting to look more out towards central MA rather than staying out here in eastern MA. I'm just wondering why plymouth isn't listed on here in the first place. I found a couple places south or Worcester that are somewhat promising but I haven't gone to look at any recently, going to refresh my Ziprealty searches to better reflect what I am looking for and to spread my search a bit further west to see what I can find. As it is I just need to stay somewhere within 45 min or so of Franklin.

I spend the majority of my time out here and have little fear of anything going wrong. That's not to say these towns are perfect, but the further away you get from the city the better off you'll be (statistically).
X2. Haverhill has been going south for years, was nice when we moved there, more and more drug busts happening these days... almost all towards the end of town nearest to Lawrence.

I like small towns and middle-of-nowhere areas. Cheap land, low crime, people leave you the hell alone and don't seem to have as much of a bug up their asses about what you do on your own time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha, i just realized i'd already been using ziprealty. i just wasn't paying attention to the site i was on. oops.

My thoughts exactly.

We'll probably end up neighbors.

-No kickdown cable so it shifts outta first at 2500
-Higher stall is a little different, Ill get used to it
-Rachets nicely, cant wait to hit 1st
-It goes through all three forward gears nicely
-Reverse is a little funky to get into, fix adjustment will = all better
-Much more bottom end :D goodbye 1.76 1st, hello 2.8 1st

x2. Pretty much what I am looking for right now. Hard part is finding that within a reasonable driving distance of work.

If it weren't for the high school bit, I'd call you a liberal pansy. And, there's nothing wrong with "automatic weapons" simply because they're "automatic weapons"... Maybe I'm just shooting too much lately. Went yesterday for a couple hours, today for 3 hours, and I'll be at the range from 8am til late afternoon tomorrow. I'm fairly certain I'll go through a minimum of 1600 rounds of .22 and .40 for this week

Noticed how I quoted it? I was quoting the newspaper, basically saying I have no idea what they had. I was more focused on someone's house being broken into and being held at gun point.

And they just found more ammunition at the high school. Sorry, but to me both of those aren't necessarily good for the town. Sure every town has one bit here or there, but Milton has started going downhill. Call me whatever you want, but I'm in Milton fairly often considering my parents used to live there and my grandparents still do.

Crime is pretty high on my list of things to look at when considering moving to another town.

Xamillion on that. I've had enough of my stuff jacked, and I've been woken up at 3AM by enough ridiculous ghetto domestic dispute drama. I want no more of it.

ahhh, see, the way I read it was the people who owned the house owned automatic weapons... when in fact it was the burglars were brandishing automatic weapons. I gotcha now :greensmok

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I really just can't fawking wait to go 5 god damn minutes north. Then for $10 I can get my LTC, no stupid BS questions/interviews/classes etc., and about a zillion more guns will suddenly become legal and available to me. FAWK this shithole of a state. God do I hate Assachusetts

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why would it be a problem if the people who owned the house had the automatic weapons, If the people who owned the house owned automatic weapons then they could have defended themselves. If the weapons are illegal the law-abiding citizens won't have them, just the criminals will, making for easy targets.

One of the biggest reasons why gun control is bullsh*t. I mean some level of control yes... should a convicted felon be able to walk into a store and pick up a gun or 2? No, probably not... but why should I be prevented from doing so.

Edit: And yeah, I would love to move to NH, but as Ken as said quite a few times, all the border towns are expensive from other people like us thinking the same thing :banghead:

Hmmm.

If you can find a duplex with built in garages underneath it somewhere within sane range of your job (which implies within sane range of mine) for like... 120k or less, I will buy half of it, cash, if you buy the other half. I don't really care how big the lot is as long as there is no homeowner's association involved to tell me to stop playing with jet engines and jeeps and ham radio.

EDIT: note that I said cash, that means if you can find it for 120k or less don't worry about a down payment

You write a novel and can't read my two sentences?

I said the people WHO BROKE INTO THE HOUSE had automatic weapons.

Do I suck at writing today or something?
