THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If DWE is part of NEA then I'm in. I'll stay in the loud people area but wheel only like #3 full and #4 full.
Edit: Scott, I'm with you on that. I've run what I though was kinda hard that everyone just breezed through. Granted I was on 31s locked rear while everyone else was on 33s or 35s locked front and rear. I want to take it slow and build my skill steadily. My jeep is still kind of pretty.

I would hit #4 if people are running it (esp if no one is running anything in the 6-10 range), then if people go on other stuff on sunday I would just putz along as well as possible I suppose. I agree that I want to work on my skill before hitting something too hard plus I don't want to break my rig since, ya know, I kinda gotta get home. :shhh: Difference is I don't give a damn about pretty. I would prolly take it as easy as possible on a 10 if I even tried that, take it pretty easy on a 6-9, and on 3/4... well I would likely beat on it a bit harder. Looks like 4 is sounding kindof enjoyable :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

time to get a 12 pack, strip the column shifter, change flexplates, play with tranny lines, and prep the floor shifter and hopefully get it in place with the carpet cut to fit. tomorrow ill prep the new tranny, install shifter and route cable, maybe get it back in :dunno: :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Carmelo could mark his territory on two portapotties? :dunno:

You could get two people to sit in your puke? :dunno:

Carmelo could find multiple bags of infinite beef jerky? :dunno:

:D

I notice my name is mentioned twice but you neglected to mention this year I'll be there with my Honcho. I promise a noteworthy outcome.

Yep, DWE is part of the NEA  and #4 would be a nice fit for you in that case. That list I copied is just from last year's signups, so all the "full" means is that particular selection had no more spots available.

you're putting the wrong kind of transmission in, so that's unfortunate....otherwise... good work! :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone here of any hilly billy balancing solutions?

I've heard:
1 cup of tranny fluid in the shaft before you weld it back up
hose clamps
washers

I also saved the old weights from the drive shaft so I can try and zip tie them to the shaft and move it around and find a decent spot and tack it on when it takes some vibes away.

i think your idea is good. you could add weight with weld too if the weight isn't heavy enough.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if you weld the yokes perfectly parallel itll be good enough to not really need any balancing.

i cut the weights off mine and had the machinist set up the yokes for me so i knew theyd be parallel. i had not balancing and minimal vibes

Oh I thought full ment the entire trail. Opps:confused1

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wanna go wheeling. and I also wanna go to the range...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

personally I stick to .22s because getting 500 rounds for $20 is way cooler than 50 rounds for $20 :laugh3:

But, more often than not I go with a friend who brings his .22, a glock .40 and a ruger p89(9mm). I don't have my LTC in MA, just FID card, so I'm a bit more limited to what I can buy, but I'm planning to get an O/U 12ga for trap soon. How about yourself?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a Ruger Bear Cat .22, Ruger 10/22, Savage arms 243, TC .50 cal muzzle loader, and a 30/30 I forget who makes it. I have my LTC and I want either a Ruger LCP .380 or a Springfeild XD .40
