i need to start using the bridgeport. i gotta mill out the center of my 3/4" plate to clearence the ring gear and i gotta deck the bottom of the housing's rough cut for the plate to sit on. who wants to come play and give me a hand getting this thing cutting?

Shoot me a message if you need a hand. Not that I have any clue how to use a bridgeport.... but I am a set of hands. :gee: You can't be too far out of the wya for me on my drive home from work. Though I don't remember if I have a pair of jeans in my trunk though... I know I at least have a pair of gym shorts. Those are good for metalwork, right? :laugh:

That was awesome... but it only prompted me to go back to one of the cars I want to build.. a 5.0 powered focus So that in turn prompted me to email the manufacturer of a V8 focus kit to find out how much it would cost for a conversion kit... Then I decided I would just call tomorrow. I figure if the kit is in the 7k range and I can find a donor stang that was totaled with good engine/drivetrain... I may just have to do it I figure 7k since I get get a long arm kit including Xmember and skid for the Jeep for around $1200, so $1200 for xmembers and suspension front/rear, say $3000 total for both... then $2000 for the engine support/conversion brackets... then $2000 for other steering, exhaust, etc. I'm probably VERY low on my guesstimate, but IF I am right I would be happy. I just think taht would be too much fun.

jeepy makin wierd noises, may have to do with it not running in so long or the powersteering bein low on fluid, i do know it has the typical 4.0 piston slap, but i dont care, i run it till she blows
