Didn't finish today like I planned. I guess my transmission to engine bolt hole are stripped. I'm going to get it all back together and run a tap through them from inside the cab and hope that helps. Tomorrow it should run though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

On a side note, today on the way to the bike shop I was riding in front of my father to lead him to the shop.

There were a few times when I went around a corner and was suddenly a quarter mile ahead of him :shhh: Surprisingly he didn't say anything on the ride home other than discussing houses and that he thinks I should pay rent. I was expecting him to mention the random time warps I passed through cause clearly my bike doesn't accelerate fast enough to put that type of distance between us.

Now that he didn't say anything I have my mother giving me a ride to the shop tomorrow to pick the bike up... Now I get to try her. Mind you she is the one who said "I think I read that the safest speed for a motorcycle is 65mph" to my father who was driving while I was following them down the highway to my grandparents one day  That may lead to a fun night :D I think that I may head in the opposite direction from home to give the tires a test ride because breaking the tires in is important... right? I just gotta make sure not to take my extended test drive and still show up at home before her. haha

I really need a new car. Mine sucks.

i get out of work at 5 takes 2 hrs to get to doms, meeting starts at 7, and im sure ill catch traffic in concord, yipee

no big deal dude, dont worry about it. no one will care haha

nice. you shoulda got the pantera ones instead of the "freedom" ones...not that there's anything wrong with freedom, but pantera's awesome

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He motivated me to throw pantera on for the first time in... about a month. I have been enjoying my night since that post.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm officially saying I hate the Red Sox. My 20 minute commute took over an hour today to get home because of the stupid game. Storrow sucks as it is, but the fact that the exit I need to take to get home reads "Fenway" I think I'm pretty much screwed.

i have to check how much i have left but i should already have enough of that. I know most of whats left is techincally Mark's but........

But he doesn't need that.

:D

or the full length of 1.75 OD .120 DOM, or the 10ft of foot wide 1/4 plate :D

I hate you guys.

So tempting to pick that up as a DD for the summer. :laugh3: I figure I can spend 2k on a cheap beat old car for the summer, then sell it in the winter for 1k. Then buy a beat XJ in the fall for 2k as a winter driver (unless my rig is reliable enough for daily driving at that time). Then sell said winter driver XJ for 1k in the summer and buy another car. Rinse, repeat. If I did that I would solve my "getting bored of cars" thing by having a new car every summer and a new Jeep every winter. Plus I would save money as I would only pay 2k for cars each year (as opposed to 4k for my car loan now) and I would pay less for insurance. Not to mention I will always have my motorcycles/Jeep as backups during the summer and motorcycles/Jeep as backups for the winter. Brilliant!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

whoever was the genius that decided to put torx bolts in Jeeps should have their sack removed with a dull butter knife. I got the right size for the bumper and of course they all just stripped, now i gotta cut them off. no biggie just makes a ten minute job longer.

and for anyone whos interested i'll be putting my new bumper on thursday night at about 830pm, JCR with tie-in brackets, might need a hand

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone want to stop by tomorrow? I don't NEED any help, especially since all the hard stuff is already over. Flex plate needs to be bolted in and transfercase needs to go in. Then I need to figure out some odds and ends and start it up and take it for a test drive. Company would be good towards the end mostly when I need to check for leaks and whatnot.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i want soup

but i dont want to heat soup

That's why someone invented the microwave. Or if something close to you is on fire throw it in there. Who manually heats soup anymore?

What time is later? I will be back in my town around 5, picking the bike up around 5:30. I can head up after that unless "towards the end" is earlier than say 6PM.

Hot soup - heat = cold soup.

Soup in a can = warm soup
Soup in the fridge = cold soup

So eat warm or cold soup and be happy.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've already been at work for 45 minutes :) I love getting my work day over with earlier. I'll be out at 4:30 today and still have a few hours of awesome weather before it gets dark, rather than coming in at 3. Now if only I could stay on this shift permanantly instead of just this week...
