THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright, thanks. I'll keep that in mind. "an extra 2-3 hours" means what exactly? idk how much time comes before the "extra". hah.

But then again maybe just swapping out the trans wouldn't be a bad idea. That is if I get it at all. Still gotta find some way to look at it.
there's a lot of time. i could do it faster the 2nd time around, though... probably easier to buy a 2nd tranny. i just wanted to rebuild a trasmission.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I would love to rebuild but I think the name of the game with this one would be time since idk if I even have somewhere to keep it and may end up paying for a parking space at the storage facility to the tune of $65 per month. I wonder how long it would take me to swap out the trans on that thing. Might as well also do a clutch while the trans is out I suppose.

I gotta call the RMV; I went to register my bike the other day (online) and found that I have to enter the "fee" however I don't know exactly what the fee is. I THINK it's the standard $20 but I'm not sure; there is no "fee" area on my current registration so idk where to check.

Edit: Just spent the time to find a list of fees online. Why teh hell does it cost $20 for a new registration but $25 for a renewal? Doesn't that sound somewhat ass backwards?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mine is always being stood / danced on. AND... it was free! picked it up a few years ago on Allston Christmas (september 1 moving day in boston) on the side of the road!
I played that game a lot in college, probably half the stuff I own I got that way. My former roommate Katy was pro at that though, she picked up a skeevy 2-person couch with some really questionable stains from some very questionable friends of ours for free. We used it for 8 months with a couch cover over it, then she managed to actually sell it for 30 bucks to a pair of even skeevier seeming people from craigslist. She also sold a huge dresser she got for free for $50 right before moving out.

EDIT: this darn test needs to finish already :banghead: I managed to drive home and eat dinner already and it is still going

24 hours of lemons contender right there... except he finished 3rd in a huge south american rally against $400k pro cars
Yeah, I read that earlier. My buddy and I want to do something like that some day. This friend andd I have been talking about building a lemons car for well over a year now (hell we talked about building cheap racers and tearing around sand pits top gear style as soon as we got our licences:D), then he moved to TX so it's up to me to build a car and he will visit to race up here, we actually talked about building an XJ, then someone the team on here beat us to it. problem is I have to have a house of my own before I can have a stripped down race car in back

Oh and I'm pissed, my father sold my brothers 99 taurus for $500 when it had some issues but they were all stuff like heater didnt work etc which wouldn't matter in a 'race car'. And it broke 2 weeks after I did the rear brakes on it... and never got paid back for the parts. Damnit! When I heard that he sold it that cheap I was pissed and he said "yeah I thought of you using it afterwards, oh well, was too late by then". :banghead: was so close to a good lemons car esp since it had tons of good parts to sell and make go fast $$ back.
