Bubble flares are stupid. Dont buy the a bubble flaring tool, they're gay. Double flares work just dandy and are more cool.

I agree they are stupid, but have you ever taken any of the lines off the master cylinder, or the ABS unit before? They are bubble flares.

I can't remember because Adam did my master cylinder to prop valve lines for me when he started my DD booster swap. I don't own a bubble flaring kit so I can't imagine he put bubble flares on 'em.

Oh and ABS is ghey.

i double flared one line (driver's side front) to the MC. it no leaky.

nice. i started reading that post and i was worried you were going to say something was going wrong with it. did you attach a breather tube?

Yeah I took a small punch and got the rest of the drill shaving's out and then tapped it to put a brass nipple in with a hose clamp. It works and it aint gonna fall off so I'm happy.

I fortunately haven't had to screw around with the lines to the master cylinder, just from the proportioning valve down. Those are all double flares with the possible exception of that stupid fitting in the middle of the line about 8" from the prop valve, which I think is in there due to changes for the ABS system or to make assembly easier but I'm not sure.

Atleast you don't stock shelves for a bunch of Highschool drop-outs while getting yelled at for not having the right sized mayo jar in stock or that this price of frozen chicken nuggets is 49 cents more than it was a month ago. Yeah, I had a good weekend at work. Naht.

speakin of wheelin better then others, the fact still remains that none of rigs have made it through lower wambus complely un assisted(Travis may have that nite but i cant remember if he winched the last spot or not)

only reason the winchline came out was for Colin's little situation. oh and I was day dreaming and drove into a giant magnetic stump :laugh:

Man, before I finished reading your post (or clicked the link) I was worried that you found the same XJ I am looking to buy and you were going to say "look at this could be a good deal!"

And on that note, I finally got an email back about the XJ I was looking at (the nice lookin '98 with "gearbox issues" for a good price). I know the guy selling it is a foreigner but none of my questions were answered in the reply email and the email just said " [FONT=&quot]call me and we will arrange" with a phone number. Why do I feel like I am buying something illegal? :laugh3:

I sent him an email.
still waiting to hear back.
The only things he did appears to be the 8.25, and his paintjob and carpet removal.
And he removed the cat, which id have to buy another one to make it legit.thats a no-no.
He is including a non disco d30, not installed it seems, and the 33's.
Id give him $500 tops, seeing as i sold it for less than that.
Unless hes done more than whats specified or noticable.

I did build most of it and I had to sell it at the time,BUT, i do miss it.

just had my phone interview with the recruiter from Cummins Diesel, and i think it actually went well! holy crap i think i'm getting better at those bullshit HR "behavioral" questions, like "give me an example of when you had a difficulty working with a person from a different cultural background" and other crap like that. he's passing my resume' along to a technical hiring manager and we'll see what happens from there, but i think i "passed" the HR part. word.

he said they'd probably land me as a "mechanical developement engineer", whatever that really means, and most likely on mid size engines like the Dodge Ram CTD engine.
