doesn't the 8.25 use side adjusters? You're in for some fun with the carrier bearings + shims I think. As long as it's an HP d30, you don't have to worry about a crush sleeve on the pinion at least, I believe some of the LP d30s used a crush sleeve though... not sure where I read that.
EDIT: yeah sorry Rob, wish I'd been able to find the info for the flexplate in my parts catalog when I checked last time, didn't realize the torque converter and flex plate stuff was in the section for the crankshaft till yesterday, I was looking in the transmission section when I checked for you.
