Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know my Harbor One credit union auto loan has no penalty if I pay it back early, not sure how that would work for a personal loan though. They have been pretty good to deal with so far. May be worth giving them a call.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Only time I have wanted to kill a friend was when he got drunk and puked in my altima since I said I would DD... not more than a month after I bought the car :banghead: Let me tell you what, cleaning that sucked.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

upside down? WTF?!

My friends know that I am the only person allowed to make a mess of my jeep... except the carpet in the trunk, if you want to touch that you can do whatever you want to it, since it's mostly a colorful and varied mix of XJ fluids at this point I do not care one bit what ends up ground into it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Looks like I have a long list of work to do this weekend, which includes working on 4 different vehicles.

Colin, I called those places we talked about for removing the red jeep's shell. 1st place would charge $100-$125, second place said they would pick it up for free.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i feel like travis hasn't been posting in this thread very much lately, but he still has about 800 more posts than i do (in this thread alone).

I'm lurking :)

I'm surprised you can't get money for it. At least the second place said free.

Anyone got any opinions on this kit http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Steering-Kit-34quot-with-High-Misalignment-Spacers_p_1335.html

I was going to pick up just the joints and do it all myself... but then across the kit and figured why the hell not, it's not TOO much more than if I bought the parts separate and got the steel myself. Though I gotta compare the joints they include in the kit to the ones that I was looking at. If the separate joints I was looking at were higher quality than the ones with the kit them I will def buy the stuff myself. :dunno: I was planning on doing heims in my steering sooner than later this summer since it should be pretty simple. Plus if I got it all myself I could just pick up a 20 ft length of whatever and use that for my 3-link whenever I get around to that. It would just leave me with a beefy as hell drag ling and tie rod :laugh3: Hell maybe even make a track bar.

my jeep is filthy right now

between the leaking windshield and still wet carpet. and the fact i never really cleaned it since i got it.

gonna gut it, repair the floors in the couple damaged spots, either replace or scrub the shit out of the carpet, and maybe even do something with the saggy headliner

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that kit will put your tie rod kinda low... and i'm not a fan of low steering links or heim joints in the steering. also, you'd have to wait foreeeevvveeerrrrr (think: sand lot) to get it.

leaking windshield probably caused the sagging headliner. My MJ headliner was 100% sagged when I got it, right now I got the weight reducing "no headliner" option installed but I'll be putting a new one in soon.

Why no heims in steering? :dunno: I'll let you answer rather than testing my google-fu today.

And I wouldn't think that the steering would be TOO low, not like I would need to run misalignment spacers on the tie rod. And I could also run the tie rod over the knuckle and use a WJ knuckle to give the 2nd mount point I think... maybe not, idk. that would just fawk of angles more than they are now.

And if I order now I suppose that I could deal with the wait. Is the wait only on the ballistic joints or are all rod ends long waits too? I dont HAVE to order joints from BF, though I probably would. I was thinking about running something like these if they aren't bad. I haven't looked into reviews or whatnot very much yet.. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/XM-12-34quot-CrMo-rod-end-w-kevlar-liner_p_1422.html
