ive found that the "higher end" seats available in the -96 always did that. the plain jane ones in the couple ive owned were nice, but like colins old ones and yours bother me.

Ya, it seems like the whole seat leans to one side.

ZJ/WJ's came with tan leather, correct?

ken once i get all the HID stuff for my truck u wanna make a 20 min drive and help me wire it all up? ill pay in beer or $$

so uh story time

I was driving back from western mass after buying that hp d30 with 4.10s (it needs a pinion bearing, otherwise seems good) doing about 75mph through the rain in the MJ

the MJ currently has these problems: no rear brakes so the warning light is always on, windshield still cracked like whoa, no rearview mirror because it broke off last week and I was too lazy to glue it back on, I probably should get it inspected one of these months, etc

So I see a stranded motorist on the side of the road and figure what the hell, I'll pull over and see if he needs help. He needed a ride to Worcester so he hops in and I start driving again... I get to Worcester and drop him off and he gives me a business card, says to call him if I ever need help and happen to be in Boston, and I nearly have a heart attack.

It was a boston police dept auto accident investigator, out of uniform.

Might be picking up one from a Corvette for the buggy. Although I just did some reading and what I thought was correct and if I want to get rid of the NV3550 I cant use an adapter plate on my tcase because of the 4:1 kit. I'm not going to replace the tranny and tcase at this time so that idea is done. Dammit. Might just have to rock a std. for awhile

yeah I was shocked... if he'd been in uniform I'd probably be losing a lot of money and the MJ would be impounded right now. I think it's about time I fixed most of that stuff before I get unlucky :shocked:

I think I am sending him an email on that one. If it's the 5 speed then I may have to use the tax money to buy it (or well put the tax $$ towards it at least since it wont be quite enough).

I wanted to get a later year but that thing looks pretty clean. I also wanted an SX4 but that wagons got wood panels and all. How could I say no? I'm pretty sure that if I do buy it I may have to rent a storage space at the lot down the road for a couple months, put the XJ there, keep the eagle at the house, and do an OBDI or II 4.0 HO swap. Would be tough but would be worth it. Hardest part would be the independent front suspension since the differential mounts the block or something. Maybe do a solid axle swap? I heard those are tough too but can't be any harder than designing a 4 link for an XJ

I dont know like I said just give me a call when you get a chance. Im picking the truck up in a couple days. I hate the rain it makes me bored and now Im buying things. I bought an F250, an XJ and now Im doing a deal for a YJ. I will also be selling the D44 & D60 w/4.10s 8lug out of the F250, if anyone is interested.

Check the brackets underneath, probably broke the spot welds. Happens all the time on the 94- power seats.

You'd have to make your own brackets to get any ZJ/WJ seat in there, you know that. That being said, I don't know if they ever had tan leather? Not sure.

I think the some of the Orvis editions had tan leather but I also think there was green on the seats to go along with it.
