i drove route 6 to johnston this morning the whole way the roads were flooded and such, one section right past that old pizza place that burnt down the road was completely flooded across

you ever been to my place? you basically drove right by my house

ive seen some friends post pics on facebook of thier flooded roads. once im done with lunch im gonna go out and check it out

Hey Mark - just looked in my FSM under section 8Q (vehicle theft security system) and it says that using the key to unlock the door should passively disarm the system, while using the RKE transmitter should actively disarm. I'm not sure why your alarm is going off unless it's an aftermarket unit. Direct quote:

Passive disarming occurs upon normal vehicle entry (unlocking either door with the key). This disarming will also hart the alarm once it has been activated.

EDIT: also, it looks like the factory system talks to the ECU even on a 91, so your best bet is to disable all the door sensors it uses as well as the method it uses to watch when the RKE system locks the doors and forget about the whole thing.

Mark, another update, it isn't just you, the diagrams in the 91 FSM SUCK, shits giving me headaches, I don't think I've ever seen such confusing wiring diagrams in my life

(alright, time to go back to finding out how to make a 91 instrument cluster + body harness talk to a 96 cross body harness + power lock/mirror/window setup... I swear this shit is in chinese or something)

woke up to a dead sump pump and 6" of water in the basement with everything floating around.
that sucks, i was just there 2 weeks ago. i'll be home soon. hopefully i don't find a similar surprise.

the jet hovercraft crew just burnt up their last ignition coil driver transistor... and are now begging me to find one. I seem to recall telling them we needed to work on that, oh, two weeks ago when they were burning a transistor every evening, but they insisted it'd be fine :dunno:

Amusing and yet frustrating. Time to design a proper driver circuit I guess

i've never had trouble with those E12 bolts up there, and have already XXXXed around with them at least 3 times. did you use all 4+ feet of extensions to get in there?
