THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well, install what you have, then when you're able to afford tires, you can just put them on, and badabingbadaboom it's all done

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I say install whatever you got, then concentrate on skids/armor/rails, then gearing, then tires. All in an absolutely ideal world with no friction, no breakage, no rust, and no mud of course.

bear stew > venison chili

EXTREMELY difficult to believe. we should trade some of each, and see what we think of them :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well you know I got tires. If you want any let me know before I throw them up for sale on CL or on here.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken, you heading to Sams any time soon?

If you go before the weekend would you mind looking if they have any GMC Envoys there? I need all the front end stuff. I.e. bumper, header panel, and whatever that plastic bracket thing that goes behind the header panel and holds the headlights is called. I checked car-part.com and they say Lindens (I am 99.99% sure lindens = sams) has a couple of 'aftermarket' bumpers but idk what that is all about. I guess if they already have the bumpers pulled I will pay the $$ to get them.. but I would rather pull them off myself and save the money. Essentially I need everything that is missing from this (except the headlights themselves which are fine).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What year? That's on the wrong side of the yard but I might remember to check.

"aftermarket" bumper probably means ricer body mod kit. If Linder's claims to have it, it's in their private yard across the street from the u-pull-it where only their employees are allowed. Most of the late model stuff goes there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well there are 2 "aftermarket" ones listed on car-part so who knows. I figured it might be ricer but I figure it's worth a look. If it's not too rice then my father might just say FIRI and tell me to get the vehicle fixed whatever it takes. If they have no use-able envoys in sams yard then I will just pay for the one in lindens. I called half the JYs around that I Could find and only everetts had an envoy in the lot.. and the one at everetts was in a front end collision

It's a 2002 but I think anything around that year will work. If you do remember and they do have any, my father has said he would prefer the one with the denali like chrome grill in and the bumper in burgundy color. But frankly I don't give a damn what color it is. My brother will live with it or pay to get it painted if it doesn't match.... so maybe I should be looking for a yellow bumper :D :roflmao:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nevermind about looking for the Envoy parts... my father apparently went to a shop down the road and talked to the owner (we know him). The guy ordered the parts for my father and is charging him the price he pays. Father paid way too much for everything but oh well. Saves me time and probably saves me $$ too since I would probably end up paying for the stuff and never getting refunded...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Whelp, order placed for a bunch of relays and a car remote door lock/unlock alarm thing. Hopefully my "brilliant" plan works :roflmao: Now I just gotta find somewhere to pick up a flashing LED or 2 and a couple DPDT relays. I'm thinking radio shack will do well enough for me.

If you want automotive DPDT relays, RadioShack will not have what you need.

Don't need automotive grade. I have automotive grade standard relays on order. Will be powering an automotive relay from the DPDT from radioshack. Figure an automotive grade DPDT would be pricey and it may be cheaper to run it this way.

truss DONE
coil buckets and lca mounts DONE
uca mount DONE

all thats left for welding on the 60 is to cut the UCA mount in (gunna wait until the axle is under so i can play with it) and add the trackbar mount when the time comes.

Why would you weld ANY of that without mocking it under the XJ first? Seems like you are begging to redo somethings to me.
