THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also if you're worried about driveshafts just umm dont. It's $55 around here to have one shortened and balanced. They'll throw the Ujoints in at cost I believe as well if you need them.

No such thing as a stock SUA 8.25
I know, I'm buying one sometime next month :D They're very similar in pinion length to a D44 though, and I figured someone might know what the length should be offhand if they had the same setup so I could just get my driveshaft set up right the first time.

Seriously? Wow, not bad, I might have to go for that, the prices I was seeing were way worse than that. I know there is a 4.0/whatever manual went into it/231/d35 MJ rear shaft in Sam's right now because I had a feeling they were going to crush that MJ they had like 5 months ago soon and removed it and stashed it only a few days before they ended up doing so though. If anyone needs it I can tell you guys where it is.

MJ's are awesome. I should have gotten one years ago...
Exactly my thoughts as soon as I drove it... they're just plain awesome unless you have to bring more than one passenger around.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin, you would be my hero if you had that. Remember, that dana 60 you have would drop right into a waggy. Bolt up a dana 300 and go. While you beat on it build that 440 on the side...

No need to build it up on the side.

440 > 727 (4wd one) sitting in the ramcharger right now i guarantee my dad would give me (already said he would)

My uncle could get me cheap aluminum heads, intake, cam, blah blah.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Issues I see:
Rust. Not cool. You can patch the floor, you probably won't have rockers soon anyways, the bed I would worry about.
You can swap *everything* else over. Hell, take the full wiring harness out of Tinky Winky and jam it in the MJ - or buy a 97+ that's been totaled by a rear end collision for junkyard prices and swap everything over if you like the 97+ styling, I forget if you do.

That waggy looks nice too.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

but i wouldn't buy anything like a tube bender, i mean kinker, QUOTE]

i got the 16 ton pipe bender on sale for like $70

I havent used it much, but it bent my trackbar (dom) with ease. kinks the hell out of schedule 40 though (PIPE WHICH THE BENDER IS MADE FOR)

might try to modify it to be used as a press break. i usually do the notch metal and bend/fill with weld method with success though
