THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So anyone that knows about cameras... is the Rebel XTi (or any of the Rebel series) worth picking up?

Was thinking about picking one up and probably would, but I am a bit disappointed that (at least from what I heard) it can't record video.

My boss has one of the older rebels (the 7.1 or 8.1 MP one) and likes it, but figured I would get some other feedback before buying anything....

i got the rebel XSi (~12.1megapixel) around christmas time (present to myself) so all the pictures i've taken since then were with that. it takes AWESOME pictures, but no video, not that it reallly matters. if you're coming along wheeling tomorrow i may let you snap a few pictures with it to see if you like it.

Nice, thanks, I will be there tomorrow, now it's just a question of whether I will be stealing a seat with someone or riding my bike on the trail.

I just found the XTi (I think those are the letters) that is 15.1 MP or so and does full HD video. Problem is it is $600+ for just the body. I was using a small point and shoot at Lobster's and quite frankly it's convenient to be able to do pic and video with one unit. I am neither HUGE into photography or videography, however I would love a camera that does both pics/video fairly well. Thinking about it maybe for my uses a point a shoot would be best... I guess I should start including those in my shopping.

Got an ABS modulator, steering wheel, clockspring, steering column housing, a few feet of wiring harness, and a steering wheel lockout cable for $50 at the junkyard today... I love it when they're too lazy to count everything up.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Curse you windows!!! So I am still running the Windows 7 release candidate (which expires in 9 days, so I need to go buy a full version this week).

Anyway, so I just plugged in my zune to charge it and I got a "there is an update available" message. Cool. I go to download it and get a "your windows update software is not currently updated". (or something like that). I get a link to follow and find out that there is an updated windows updater to install. Strange that I couldnt DL that though the old updater and then have it update itself, but OK... So it ends up that the new updater won't work with any windows 7 pre-build 7500 (aka anything before the official release). So now in order to download the update for my updater I have to buy an official copy of windows 7.

Not a problem really cause I was going to do so anyway... just thought it was amusing when I started reading the little explanation of the error and it was explaining how windows update was out of date and I needed to update my windows OS so that I could get the update for windows updater.:wierd:

other than sizes of joints, only differences I see there are regular U-joint vs CV type yoke vs a flat bolt-circle flange :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mmmm beer.

i have a feeling tomorrow is going to be another one of those hungover-wheeling days..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Tonight I only had a couple glasses of soco so I should be feeling great tomorrow.

Last wkend after the UJ M&G on Friday I got home at 1 and packed up a couple things, finally got to sleep at 2... I was then up at 5:30 to head out and meet up with my friend, pick up a trailer, and head up to lobsters.

Granted, I wasn't really hung over at all. Just tired as hell by the end of the day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

As for next friday, haven't exactly decided where yet. I'll let everyone know when I figure it out.

party at ....my place? seems like as good of a reason as any...
