THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

billy, you could always make one...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

was going to say, sounds like time for a scrapyard trip and/or some drill press time

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Meh, just build a square tube Dshaft for the trail if the front doesn't have enough slip. Then either pull it and run 2wd on the street or swap in a stock one for the street.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

sam, you won't want to. he said something with the shifting is frozen and won't budge. i don't need to run it yet. i'll just let it all soak in PB for now then replace all the seals when i tear into it...

by putting it in my jeep

i meant

"putting it in my jeep"

not bolting it under my jeep in place of my np231

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Putting a square tube driveshaft on Bill's rig would be like restoring the mona lisa using puff paint.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bill: i'm glad you decided to cut yours down.
I'm thinking there will be enough slip and if so I'll use it.
i need a front leaf spring U bolt retainer plate for the driverside on a 1978 F-250. any ideas?
Why couldn't you have asked a couple weeks ago. I was diggin through the junk I had in the corner and threw the one from my D60 out. Sorry dude. :(

I kinda laughed to myself as I said that one since his rig is so much nicer than anything I will have. I am a cheap SOB so I will probably end up running a square shaft in mine once I get long arms and might have enough flex to possibly need a new shaft. Then again may never actually do my stuff well enough to need a non-stock DS, so that may be a null point :D

Well it is that nice from what I have seen. So anyone want to go graffiti on my ghetto driveshaft if I end up making it?

it isnt just a flat plate. it is meant to cup around the axle housing and use square ubolts

i should have been looking for one all along, now i'm in last minute panic mode

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh... dang. that stinks. would colin's or ross's hp60 have one?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

does he just have alot of axles laying around?

i found a guy in lakeville with one but he wants 50 bucks

no idea what he'll charge but he had AT LEAST 20 in his yard (not a salvage, his own person salvage yard) last summer. I know he still has a few but always has parts.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'll do it when i get home...
