THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd use a hi-lift and risk death but I already have my harbor fright hydro jack, so I just use that. I've dragged that thing through miles of mud and it hasn't let me down yet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It will, chinese parts are so consistent you can't really complain about them or even be surprised that they broke either!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

me

i have several spares
sweet dude. what do you want for them? can i grab a set of 6?

i might be getting that dana 300 from the guy soon too... it'd be nice to get both at the same time. or do you have time to get the dana 300 from him and i'll just take care of the $? i dunno...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yayy for snow. NECN says 8"+ around here. We'll see...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm pretty sure i'm not supposed to get even close to that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

O rly?

I don't think I'm supposed to get that much.

no, down near you just looked like a few inches. i'm barely in the belt for the 8"+ so I've got fingers crossed :) Even if the forcast shifts a little it ought to be a solid 6"+ here. Time will tell

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

we gots like 4" now

it comes and goes

sometimes it pounds snow on us

sometimes nothin

no rain/ugly mix yet though

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

snowing pretty good here right now, small flakes though. It's been on and off since I got home last night around 1AM.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I attempted to put the DSS on my CTD...

I need a 4" deep 1 1/4", 1/2" drive socket.

WTF.

Ross...would yours work?

OMG is this going to be the first tool Colin will have to buy!?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

nope, he has 12 pt. shallow 1/2" drive metric sockets.... that's about it!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin sucks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Are you home douchebag? I need someone to step on my brake pedal so I can squirt brake fluid into my eyes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I completely forgot we were supposed to get snow today. I woke up and was brushing my teeth and happened to look in the mirror and see it snowing out the window. It was one of those wtf moments until I remembered that there was snow coming in. It was a mix between pissed and happy. Pissed that I had to clean off the car (and was already running later than I wanted to be) and happy cause.. well.. it's snow :)

I hope this meeting I have in 5 min goes quick & easy. I have no interest in being there. I am exhausted, slept like crap last night; was falling asleep on the drive in. blah

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Probably me, I've had it hanging around forever. I gave it to Jon on Saturday though...

I DO have a full CV joint setup in the junkpile if you want to rebuild one, it came with something I got at the junkyard plus about 3" of ds tubing. Seems in good shape, was well coated with oil from a leaky rear main seal. From seeing the lineup of spare/project shafts I had sitting in my back hall for a while, the manual front DS is about 1" to 1.5" shorter than the auto, not 3", if you want to find an OEM app that will fit your needs, google for j321-cv and look through for the collapsed length and U-joint series you're aiming for.
Hmm... Thanks for the info. Can anyone confirm this? I was told it was ~3" shorter. If not, then I might as well cut mine down or just grab a new shaft when I have my rear made. I'll do some looking for that chart, but I don't want to waste to much time looking for some shaft out of something that might not be in good shape anyway.

Crapsmen doesn't make a deep one. ;)
Like I mentioned to you, your going to have to try a Snap-On/Matco/Mac dealer, or jump to a 3/4" and get the adapter (if you don't have it already).

Edit: I found two at Snap-On, but you're not going to like the price!
Socket # TS401
Socket # GTS401
