i got 9 hours of sleep last night. it was awesome. went to bed at 10, got up at 7. (early to bed and late to rise for me). still made it to work for 0745. now i'm filling out a status report for the project i'm working on. blegh.

couple of friends woke me up at 7 to see if i wanted to go icefishing.
I had every intention of sleeping in, but ive been up since then.

I wish I woke up at 7.

Went to *try* and pass out at 11. Was still up at 12 when my buddy decided to shoot me a text (he is in TX and must have forgotten the time difference?). But yeah, I was still awake anyway.

Then I was up at 4:00 (I always seem to wake up at 4 or 4:30, idk why). Then up again at 6:20. Same as every week day. Oh well, I think I am starting to get used to 6.5 hours of sleep now.

That's what I would be doing if I didn't have work right now and I had friends who woke me up to go. :dunno: Then again maybe that's just because I am here at work and would rather not be. I have a strange feeling if I had today off (or didn't go to work until later) I would have ignored the wake up call and rolled over and went back to sleep.

So, I'm debating whether i should yank the rear axle out of the jeep all together? It will be easier to pull the carrier/replace pinion bearings, and I can put some new spring plates on that will also be bumpstops. It will be easier to cut off my old shock mounts, and weld new ones on correctly.

It will also be a lot easier to do the rear discs on it too.

It sounds like besides the u-bolts you'll have it all out anyway. You don't have the driveshafts in yet anyway right? I'd take it out.

Are you going to get shorter shocks? Are those still bottoming out? I can't remember what you were running out back, just that we had the same problem.

That was the plan...but the water pump in the mj took longer than i thought yesterday,so i didnt go to look at cars as expected.
Kinda funny tho, the landlord showed up right after i started tearing it apart.Nothing negative was said.whew!

But as far as fishing goes, my buddy has a huge icehut he got for xmas,we went out on my b-day, and it kicked ass.A little maple whiskey in the coffee,a few beers and some nice rainbows made for a great day.

I need to make bumpstop plates.

I need it to be warmer out so I am actually motivated to work. I mean... over the summer I will be able to set up outside and just work over the weekend and through the week without having to worry about cleaning up so my father can have the garage back during the week.

Then again, hell, unless there is bad weather I doubt he would even care if I just keep the garage most of the time. I really just want to have a Jeep ready for June. Either get the MJ and have that on the road to drive down, or do it right and have my rig ready but that means I need to do a lot of work. Hopefully I have time

I worked through the snow on Saturday and all day Sunday (both times into the night) in order to get my bumper mounted, winch mounted and wired in, and solenoid box remote mounted, as well as get the radiator fixed.

Just put multiple layers on

Yeah Adam did a sweet job soldering everything together and helping my run all the cables.

Came out real slick I think.

Oh btw, after you left, I stayed outside and got the cover on the solenoid box (less 1 screw, still covers 90% of it) and also got the booties on the terminal ends on the winch .
