THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if anyone can find me a viper eng with ecm and matching 6 spd, and a late model 2 door xj for under 5k, i will sell all 3 my xj's now and all parts
did that really need to be said? Isn't that obvious? I think I will leave off the XJ part... if anyone can find me a viper eng with ecm and matching 6 speed I will sell off my Jeep and altima...

...Yeah, that's right, ill sell both my vehicles for an engine.

Though I still want to find a clean (probably long bed) MJ and swap a LS1 in it. I just gotta find a cheap LS1.

The great part is that my parents told me I was going to be charged rent when I told them I was buying a MJ that I was going to keep and fix up at my buddies place... I then ended up not buying the MJ and they never started charging me rent...

So now I learned my lesson: This time around when I find an MJ they won't know I own it (since it will be stored & worked on at my buddies house anyway). They may not know I own it until after it has a LS1 in it. I think that would be awesome to show up in one day... sell the altima and show up in an LS1 powered MJ... :D

Boomshackalacka!

Girlfriend's dad came to me talking about selling his van saying it was going to cost a little under 2 grand to get it fixed and it wouldn't be worth it. $80 later it runs fine. It still has random cylinder misfires though with 2,3 and 4 also specifically showing up. I'm going to assume that's from something unsubstantial like plugs and wires. I don't think he's ever gotten a tune up so it's likely. I'm just going to do a tune up on it with a fuel filter and any other maintenance parts while I check for vacuum leaks and do a compression test.

Feels good working on a vehicle that someone depends on for money.

FYI, the Viper V10 and the SRT10 V10 are not the exact same, IIRC.

Thinking about getting a cordless impact

http://www.amazon.com/Bare-Tool-DEW..._2?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1265252477&sr=8-2

I really like the idea that I can use it anywhere. I'll have to borrow batteries to use it now but my girlfriend's dad and my maintenance man use all dewalt tools. I also have a drill from dewalt and like it alot.

Sweetness.

BTW...you done using ours? Could use it back for this weekend. I'll be home tomorrow night if you're around to drop it off.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want a cordless angle grinder. I nearly split a $400 set of DeWalt cordless tools at Lowes on saturday with someone I didn't even know. They wanted everything but the angle grinder and I wanted the angle grinder. Then I realized I should save my money for other stuff I needed more.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Everytime I walk into my garage there are more and more computers sitting in it. My dad is supposed to be cleaning it out so my Jeep is able to pull in at least partially. Currently the newest of things is a stack of about 20 old laptops sitting on the freezer.

Didn't use it, might use it tomorrow. Either way I'll give it back tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I like the idea but I'd rather a tracked skid steer. You can actually do work with one. I use a skid steer every winter to push back our snowbanks in the yard and it's fun as hell.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IMO tracked skid steers suck. we had a cat one with tracks and one without and the tracked one just made an enormous mess everywhere cuz the tracks were always spinning trying to grip

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I only liked the tracks on snow and ice. It made a huge difference in my yard. The one with tires would get in a hole and lift the other side up and cause it to loose all traction. If it's in snow you the surface doesnt need to be saved or already has a ton of holes, I'd take the tracked. On grass, smooth dirt, pavement I would take the one on tires any day of the week.
