THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't do that, either of you! How dumb can you be? Colin, nothing to problematic is stopping you from getting a sticker.

um...my gas tank relocation...? :D

Travis just unbolted them right? Its not like he cut mounts or anything, bolt 'em in, wheel, then worry about other stuff like 3 links if you want. You don't need that to wheel.

x2, however his control arms are preventing him from going faster than 30 mph.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah i'm floating at the same thing... but i'd get a CTD if i sold the VW. it would probably save me at most ~$75 monthly...
I would love a CTD but I drive 70ish miles per day just for going to/from work so that wouldn't be the most efficient option. I want a truck in general which is why I was looking at an MJ however I would much rather get a truck that is large enough to pull my Jeep around, which leads me to a CTD or maybe even a larger Ford... but that truck would suck for driving to/from work.

didnt you just get the front axle i wanted?
AND I wanted it too. :bawl:

But now I am stepping on the full width train so yeah, I guess it kinda worked out in the end :dunno:

So cover it up, isolate it from the passenger compartment to comply with the laws and be good to go. I know I'm going to dislike not having something legal for street use, I just can't understand why the both of you would take them off the road. At this point they can't cost that much. ;)

So what? I'll put money down that I'll wheel TWICE as much as Anthony and Mark COMBINED this year. And I've got a LOT to do... :D

i colud do that, but i don't have and can't afford tires yet. and i REALLY need to do something about the rust. i really don't feel safe with it as is. and i could use the $ i'd save on insurance....

i'll be reregistering it when it's done though... no worries.

at least give me the 43mph i deserve...

i am black lol.

i cant go red untill i get some cash saved up. insurance bill was $430 then rent then cell phone and food blah blah blah blah. im broke untill later this month.

 at least you knew what i meant. good luck with everything.

i'd agree with that. you've got less to go to be ready too... and i just did something i have yet to do too. i put jeep parts on a credit card knowing i didn't have the $ in my checking to pay it off. wasn't too happy about it.

im gonna have one with 44s front and rear for driving around town and going on class 6 roads

thennn i have the one my 60/14 are gonna go into which will be 100% trailer queen

No. No I don't. You're wrong son. :)

Burns doesn't it? Thankfully my steering will be the one and only time I'll have to do that.

I gotta figure out how much $$ I will end up throwing a 44/9 full width setup. I will probably save some $$ by not shortening, but how much is the question. Mostly gotta figure out steering I think  I will continue to make this sound easy until I am bitching and moaning about how much of a PITA it is.

And after I finish the axles I have to figure out the best/strongest way to raise the pinch weld in the rear fenders. Then I am going to try and flare out my stock fenders keeping XJ lines as much as possible while covering the tires so I can keep it street legal (or if I have rock rails by then I may end up just doing tube fenders).

The 9" should be easy in the rear, spring perches will be simple. It should be easy as long as I can figure out the driveshaft (not sure about the u-joints matching up, but that shouldn't be too bad even if I end up with a square shaft for a while).

Once I get the full width 9" in I will PROBABLY be selling the narrow 9" unless I pick up an XJ or MJ and decide to throw a LS1 in there. Then I might keep the stock width 9 for my street vehicle.

Edit: And thankfully I have never spent money on my card unless I had the money to spend (except for one time, but that wasn't my fault... I got billed the wrong amount which over-drafted my account and lead to much debt for a short while). Didn't hurt that I did not have a credit card until after college. No credit card until I had a full time job... until then it was all debit card. Worked well for me (even though it would have been nice to build up credit during college years).

Yeah I could...but still it's not that big of a deal. Class 6 roads aren't much fun when you're on 35s locked f/r so doesn't really matter to me. If we go to the same roads at lobsters, then it wasn't anything special for me. Name a public road/trail I'll be missing out on besides OFR.

Also, yeah it doesn't cost too much, but a penny saved is a penny earned.

Probably saving about $400 per year total.

30 mph means it will take him like 5 hours to get to any trail :roflmao:

Better hurry up and get that CTD Anthony :D

I've got a set of 225/75r15s you can borrow :laugh3: Just think of the gearing benefit, you could idle over... well, not very much I guess.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i could idle over a pebble. my top speed would be 30 mph topped out in 5th too haha. solves my problem, right there. only if the rims are 5x5.5 though :D

yeah, it does... i bought a LS1 for sean on my card. i'm floating it till i get the rest of my $ for my axles. that will take care of most of the cost. it won't be too bad in the end. just really iritating.

True, we'll just have to take Angel's once I get those axles. :laugh3:

Adam has two 5x5.5 Crager's he might be willing to sell. Get to it!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm already all set on the 5x5.5 rollers... my buddy ned gave a set to travis who lent them to mark. so i'm getting them now.

Hahah YES. She's going to hate us.

Side note: Adam and I are going to poop some solder on my radiator on Sunday. If all else fails, I'm going to have to order a new CSF on Monday to have it in time for Saturday.
