Scott - remember to compare energy costs and usage too. You're going to either be sweating your ass off, or paying a lot of electricity bills in the summer. Also, home insurance costs, those are liable to change.
I will probably spend more in the summer but less in the winter for heat, so it may even out a bit.

And chances are I may not end up moving down there and even if I did I would probably make it a temporary move, so I would be back in a few years anyway... so with more thought put into it I would probably not buy a place unless I really ended up liking it once I got there.

I just wish I could find nice houses in that price range up here. I would have bought a house months ago.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony,

Dump some gorilla dropping sized brazing on my radiator please.

Will provide buffalo chicken pizza.

Thanks

i could do it with ross's torches, i think... i'd need some brass rod. and you'd probably want your radiator to be clean. and i wouldn't mind practicing on a crappy one first... the thinnest stuff i've brazed was ~.100. a radiator tube is probably closer to .030...

edit: he knows the way to my heart. mmm buffalo chicken. on a pizza. mmmmmm....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Assuming the radiator I got from the part-out isn't leaky, I got the old one out of the MJ you can practice on at some point.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

does ross have any tips small enough to not just melt the radiator?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So who's gonna be entering the Rig of the Month contest?

I'm hoping to enter the green Jeep as a sort of last hurrah :patriot:

EDIT: Travis, friend formerly with the MJ was really impatient and got an Audi :( sorry to get your hopes up

no worries, like I said I didn't really care if I sold it or kept it anyways :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I can't wait untill 6. I finally get to start ripping apart the front of the Jeep. New coils, trac-bar, TB mount, and upper and lower control arms. And I can now get rid of those Rusty's front coils.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Plan on it. One will go in the RoTM contest, kind of like a before and after since I don't have any pictures of me wheeling since lobster fest.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The only pics I have of me wheeling.. period.. are on my old cell phone which is lost somewhere I think. :( I don't think I uploaded any of them to the web.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

whoever wrote the code I am working on adapting should be SHOT

I've never seen someone save off so many register values, only to NEVER RESTORE THEM, before. Dozens of lines of completely pointless, misleading code

:badpc:

EDIT: also... not sure what I'm going to do with the 2wd beam and d35 out of the MJ when I get to swapping them out. Thinking of a really strange go-kart/buggy... with the seat and everything I can get mounted below the centers of the axles for really really low COG.
