so its been a while since i was in diss thread

but i bent a dana 30 knuckle, and have 2 cracks between my steering box and trackbar

no mo wheelin until the stiffys and manly axles are under it

the gauges in the wk just decided to all fail and light up. just drove back from boston with no speedo, no tac, and my hazards flashing becasue i could not turn them off. at least its still under warrenty and i will be picking the yj up tomorrow with its new fenders

I don't get the 0 5 4 part, sorry But my plans are to try and keep it nice. It's way too nice to just beat the crap out of it and destroy it. I'll put on the frame stiffeners that I've got, do rocker replacements, and then these are next on the list when I have some money again:

im gonna be parting out the 95, including all the 1 ton stuff and wheels/tires with the exception of clayton arms and dpg leafs, im gonna build the 98 on 35's im gonna keep the lockers from the 93 and run them in it, then part out the rest of that one, so whoever wants crap from the 95 post up before i put it in for sale section

who bought sean's XJ?

I know, and he's a smart man.

tire width when you get a bias ply doesn't mean anything other than how big around the bubble is. it's not like a radial tire where the tread wants to stay perpendicular to the sidewall. i don't want to be insulting, but how much wheeling have you done where the width of the tire made the difference between rolling and not rolling? i've never really wished i had wider tires than the 10.5's... if i got taller tires (35-36 ish) i'd probably get a 12.5" wide tire, but the aspect ratio stays about the same...

I agree... the width of the tire rarely (if ever) makes a difference in whether or not a rig would roll. That's more based on the width of the vehicle as a whole.

On stock width axles I can run less backspacing with a wider tire, and effectively increase the width of my rig (compared to a narrower tire). That's more what I was getting at I have had a couple times where the extra width was helpful (granted I was being a dumbass at the time and could have avoided that all-together, it wasn't even during serious wheeling :laugh. I just gotta decide if I want to decrease the width of my rig while at the same time increasing the height. That's my position right now. I'm sure I could do it fine, and I know the physics of a tire and how a narrower tire will provide greater traction offroad which is why I am considering narrower tires. My other reason for avoiding a narrow tire was that I would have to buy new wheels. If the set came with wheels, I wouldn't have that argument :thumbup:

My other reason for avoiding a narrow tire was that I would have to buy new wheels. If the set came with wheels, I wouldn't have that argument :thumbup:

AFAIK, for the price posted, Anthony's LTBs come on a set of Cragars (if that's what you were talking about haha)

Whoever thought it was a good idea to RTV the oil pan to the block on my 88 should be shot. It took a total of about 4 hrs, 3 different putty knives, and a bunch of beer to get it off. Not to mention the fact that my shoulder feels like jelly now, and I hit the pan enough times with a dead blow to dent the crap out of the side of it.
