what lug pattern? I assume they are not 5x4.5 if you are running tons Though that may just mean spacer/adaptors are in order. How much tread the tires got left (hell, what kinda tires in general)? And how much would you be looking for the tires vs all of it together?

And I said damnit too when I read the "except for" stuff. :laugh:

wheels are 8 lug, tires have alot of tread left but do have some chunking from wheeling, id perfer not to split em as i dont want to deal woth pulling apart the beadlocks, i wont go any lower the 1k for the set, wheels alone go for 1400 new

Remind me not to wheel with you if you plan on running those tires on a D30.

I'm stretching the ears on stock D44 shafts on 35s that don't measure 35.

not to be a dick but theres no way a 30 will live with these tires and wheels, i think one of em just abough wieghs as much as a 30

I Don't even know what kinda tires they are :dunno: if they are that beastly of a 36" then count me out. I thought some 36's would do OK on a d30 but I wasn't sure what these ones were. Nevermind then, I'll pass

I blew a brand new 760 joint/tweaked shaft ears on 30" tires, spun the splines on the alloy shaft I got to replace those shafts with 33's, and am now just waiting to see how it goes with 35's. Granted all that was with 4.88's... In my opinion 35's is as large as you should go with a d30, depending on how you drive. In my case I probably should have stayed with the 30" set.

Gah, I would love to run 36" SX's. I feel like regearing my 30 would be a waste now and I should wait till I find/build a 44... but Iwant to wheel now damnit! :laugh: Maybe I will start shopping for some nice 33 or some milder 35s

you can have just as much fun on 33's and 4.56 as you can on 35/36 and 4.88/5.13

Well I am going to be running 4.88s so it's seeming like I will be landing somewhere between an aggressive 33 and a milder 35 or 36. I am starting to think I may get 2 sets of tires, a set of 36" A/Ts for better highway cruising and a set of 33-35" swampers or something for trails.

i wheeled 54" Boggers on a spooled dana 30 and never had any problems

Well I am going to be running 4.88s so it's seeming like I will be landing somewhere between an aggressive 33 and a milder 35 or 36. I am starting to think I may get 2 sets of tires, a set of 36" A/Ts for better highway cruising and a set of 33-35" swampers or something for trails.

33's locked or 35's unlocked

I loved 33's with 4.88's. Actually for trail use I loved the 30's and 4.88's...:guitar:

With 35's now I wish I had lower gearing.

Holy Jebus I wish they made a narrower SX. I am now looking at either 33x15.50 SX's (just because i have heard people love em) but that seems... erm.... a bit wide, as in wide enough that the D30 may not like em anymore than a 35" :laugh3:

Maybe run 33x13.50 LTBs? Or 33x12.50 SSRs or TSLs (radial or bias, still considering both)...

I hate buying [expensive] tires new. I feel like whatever I get I will find something better and be pissed for a couple years until I upgrade again. I wish I could find any of the above sets of tires with like 75% tread at a good price. That's how I got my baja radial MTX's and then I put 40k miles on them and still like them, esp for the price I paid :thumbup: I guess anyone got recommendations between the tires I mentioned above?

What type of 33s do you have? I'm sure I already know but I gotta ask again. And the problem with that plan is that I wanted to get tires before the 13th, I think you will be parting out, what, a day late for that one? haha

I may consider just going up with the 33 AT's...er... the 31 ATs and taking you up on that one though.

Edit: I think I should run some 35x12.50R22 interco VorTrac's for my street tire. Rollin on dubs. Oh yeah :rof:
