that sucks. Any idea what the code is yet?
What a lovely weekend:
1. Locked keys in th DD XJ, so I had to break the rear glass;
2. big truck has coolant pissing out 2 spots on the intake;
3. progress on the Jeep got held up by one of the fittings on the tranny being stripped out and will need to be re-tapped(also one on the motor but not esssential);
4. ran out of oil on Sun.;
5. power out this morning and didn't think about it until Oil guy says "did you see that tree" which is next to my driveway and pushing all the lines down. While he's filling up the oil I hear a buzzing and figure its downstairs and realize it might be the boiler, so run down and both units are humming. I have both shutdown until the power guys get done. Hopefully too low of power is not letting it run. Awesome
Do you have power locks? I do, when I find myself with plenty of free time I am going to build myself a long-range RKE setup. Another plan - get the key duped and keep the spare in your wallet, I do that right now. I know hindsight is 20/20 and all but it works pretty nicely.What a lovely weekend:

x2. That's what I did for the camry and Jeep ever since I got locked out once.Another plan - get the key duped and keep the spare in your wallet, I do that right now. I know hindsight is 20/20 and all but it works pretty nicely.
hahaha, wow. I guess I'll get em from you at some point, don't sweat it too muchken john or billy was not at that run i got the driveshaft and speaker still.
Yup. He's about 8 cubes down from me. I actually met your ex about a year ago I guess, Ben L'Bassi, his wife, and his daughter (forget her name) recruited me and about 3 others from my team to run a computer/tech fair for highschoolers at the boston museum of science. Small world, eh?
haha, yeah as a general rule I don't even mention stuff at all unless someone else brings it up first.they have 2 daughters. i wish i could say i dated the younger, prettier, smarter one. but nope, i didn't. my ex was amanda, little sis was alyssa. btw, don't mention that to him haha. yeah they participated in a robotics competition or something...
You probably just want rg-58 coax with PL259 connectors crimped on, measure out exactly how long you want it to be using string and tell me and I can crimp one up for like ten bucks as soon as I find my reel of coax. It'd be cheaper but I have to buy the connectors :roll:
sure, no problem. It takes like 5min, I got the crimper tool a while ago while I was building some direction finding antennas and needed a silly number of precise-length coax patch cables.kennnnnn hook me up. ill get you a length sometime.
Sure, just let me know when, I usually just hit radio shack for connectors but it's sounding like this might warrant a trip to Stark Electronics for a bucket of PL-259s.I need to pick up a CB antenna and install it in my dash.. speaking of which I have to start pulling all my speaker/stereo wires out of my dash. Maybe that will be tonight's project since I can't do too much work to create a huge mess. I'm not looking forward to running new wires but it needs to be done.
So Ken, when you get the stuff to crimp up a wire you want to pick up some extra so you can make me a coax?I don't have a spool of coax sitting around like you seem to.
