THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dont "hold" parts for the first person that called them. show up with cash and they are yours.

the 9" easily holds up to 35s and i would have no problem running the cromo shafts on 37s

i have found 2 bars that serve PBR in bottles and it is AWEsomE
Well PM sent, let me know what works best so I can plan accordingly. I think I figured out how to do the carrier bearings so that shouldn't be an issue. Doing carrier bearings is pretty straightforward and you dont have to adjust backlash or anything, right? Sorry if I sound like a nub, never rebuilt a rear axle or pulled the gears. I planned on doing so pm my old axle after I fracked up & replaced an 8.25 a while back, but the father brought it to the dump while I was away at college.

And someone beat me to it, but we have a couple bars around with it on tap.

If you want to go sillyhuge, rockwells/loader axles/other huge shit like that come with goofy big gear ratios from the factory, I think it was 2.5 ton rockwells I saw with 6.72s in them

I did some car crawling with my silly little jeep, ran over a ford taurus at a frat car smash... sadly my nearly bald tires, lack of flex, and open/open got in the way of going any further than the hood.

 most definitely. I'm planning on getting entirely wrecked tonight and doing things I will regret.

I dunno but I would not want to do that, I'd be worried about the burrs hanging into the gear teeth and chewing up the pinion.
Hmmmm, sillyhuge sounds like something I would do. But I don't want to go that deep with the gears.

Regarding the car crawling, I know most of y'all have done it, I already did it with my Jeep. I just thought of it, laughed, then thought of lots of cars to drive over in a row, and thought of mall, then thought of mall crawling. So I said it :dunno::rof:

Regarding tonight and how a couple nights ago I was bitching about how I would probably end up stuck here in town doing nothing... Well I was hanging around last night and my mother came in and said "what are your local (2 hours away) college friends up to? You may want to try and do something with them, seems like everyone is just going to be staying around the town/house this year" So even she is thinking this new years is going to suck for me. FML :banghead:

And I would definitely deburr the gear! what? do you think I'm lazy and would skip that step? :roflmao: If I were going to do that I would probably do it with the stock ring gear and drive it around for a while. If everything worked OK I MIGHT risk it on the new one when I re-geared, though that would be unlikely I think. I would probably get it machined for me.

Edit: HOLY WALL OF TEXT!

Edit 2: SNOW! ...Though not much and the last I heard it's supposed to turn to rain pretty quickly.

for super duper ultimate gearing, lp D60/70's with 7.17's with portal boxes for a final axle ratio of 14.77.

last year i woke up on the carpet in front of my stove, dont remember getting home or anything before 11pm. hopefully this NYE goes similar.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

rockwells suck, to much wieght=you goin nowhere fast

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I would run rockwells anyday. The bigger/dummer the better. 49s here I come!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:looney: :piratefla:fuse::badpc::puke::variety:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My ambition level right now is very low when it comes to working on vehicles lately. The cold is killing my knees and by the time I get home from work I dont want to do much but I have managed to get some work done. Finished the Teralow Tcase and I built the tranny into a completely manual automatic, I got best of both worlds, I have to shift but with no clutch. The fuel cell is in and new brake lines are all bent up and it place, I still need to build the xmember bracket for the flexline though. I'm mounting up the motor this weekend and after the new tracbar mount gets welded on I'll drop the motor in.

Its not the help I need but the kick in the butt to keep going. Everytime I have the chance to work on it I don't, then when I do want to something else comes up. I originally planned on bustin azz all last weekend instead I laid on the couch and watched movies all weekend, literally. I didn't even go to bed Sat. night just watched movies around the clock. Hopefully this weekend goes better but of course my DD XJ lost its heat so that comes first.

Lazy SOB  I wish I could be that lazy and not be a complete fat ass.

But on that note, x2, if you need a hand on something ever let me know, I'm relatively close by and wouldn't mind lending a hand if it's needed.
