Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I got everything on my list done (except laundry since my bro isn't home till monday now) and made myself J-bolts for the fuel tank... then everyone in my house left for the afternoon and I have to have the Jeep done and garage cleaned by the time the snow hits. I get to try and install a gas tank on my own. oh ****.

Anyone in the area want to help install a fuel tank?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Huzzah, fuel tank installed. Thank you Jeep for making a XJ fuel tank a 1 man install project. Oil change in progress. Then praying everything still works and the Jeep starts :rof:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i see no reason it wont, it looks to be in real good shape, just in need of a cleaning. the table only has one little mark in the corner and all the controls work smoothly and such. i gotta go buy the phase convertor, then ill play around with the wiring and get it cooking.

(Posting from phone while radio tests go, very cold, etc)

Hope it snows a lot. Also welding went extremely well, we forgot to order the brackets needed to mount the 2 foot dishes for the radio test so we threw some together with materials from lowes, I almost wouldn't be embarrassed to post pics of my welding now. If only my camera hadn't been stolen

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

HAH! Before my father left today he seemed annoyed and said "I think you may have bit off more than you can chew with all this work you left yourself for today". The Jeep has now been moved to it's current temporary parking spot under its own power. He should remember... Determination gets s*** done. I just learned that next time I get driveway/garage space I need to shift my tail pipe over a bit, seems to be rattling against the fuel tank.

So today was a very good day, going to grab some chinese food now and then running out to the packie for a much needed 6 pack of sam adams.

  • Floor pans finished (just have to drill a few holes for spot welds, but that is just something to do before I go wheeling).Oh, and I did an oil change on my car
  • front bumper bolts drilled out and bumper mounted
  • oil change on Jeep
  • fuel tank re-installed
  • fully cleaned garage
  • oil change in altima
Edit: Oh, and when my mother was pulling into the driveway I told her not to pull all the way up to the top so I could get the Jeep out. Her response was a look of disbelief and the comment "It runs?!?!"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wow im almost drunk
I just had one beer and I am feeling it (Sam Adams Boston lager). That is not like me.

I guess that's what happens when you wake up at 9, work on Jeep the whole day, and have nothing to eat or drink except an XL coffee at noon and a spoonful of Lo-mein for dinner with 3 smallish chunks of chicken. :dunno:

I think I gotta do this more often, I like being having a buzz after 2 beers. Usually I can put down ALOT of liquer before I am feeling anything. I got a handle of Jim Beam I got planning on putting a dent in that tonight... but if I can get a buzz off a beer or 2 thats awesome! Don't even have to touch the Beam
