THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I have a chance to mount and balance my tiers for free today. Should I suck up the 3.55 and 33's for a few months 'till I can fork some cash for gears?

i had 3.55s and 33s for a while and it really wasnt all that bad. i did a lot of highway driving too

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got this text from my ex:
"If you don't replace the air intake on a standard, could it blow the engine?"

I am trying to mentally connect the pieces together to determine how the question makes any sense at all. By standard I assume she means manual trans... and I assume that by air intake she means air filter... and she isn't one to know how cars work much, so I guess I could understand her being concerned about engine damage so she said it as "blowing the engine"... but I am still trying to piece together how a manual trans has to do with the air filter :wierd:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

lol, apparently her kid brother is saying to his parents "if I don't get a cold air intake for my car, the engine could blow because it's not getting enough air... but I don't have enough money to afford one, can you help?" :roflmao: I give him credit for trying I guess... but it sucks that my ex came straight to me to get the real info. Now I wish she would leave me alone.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

good way to sneak in a one nighter with her, answer the question then try and talk one in. The next morning forget it happened.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Eh, she wasn't bad years ago in high school and into college when I was dating her. Then she went downhill towards the end of our time together, then she got a bit better a few years after we broke up (never as good as she once was though). I haven't seen her in quite a few months.. last time I saw her it was meh.. don't know if it would be worth it. If I tried anything she would most definitely take it the wrong way and I would have to put up with her s***again.

Edit: Though that thought has crossed my mind... when she wanted to uninstall windows and then was having trouble finding her hard drive I almost said I would swing by and help (and then proceed into a one night stand or similar), but then I reconsidered and went out to do some welding. In hindsight, it was a very good move on my part . Oh and dont ask about the hard drive thing... that was the last "question so dumb it blew my mind".

Edit 2: Oh, and her friend is much more attractive, and seems alot more level headed and such so I am kindof trying to get my ex to invite me out with her and all her friends some night. Then I can try and get with her friend (who apparently has had bad experiences with guys lately so if I play my cards right I could get her really interested in me, esp cause I think she used to be interested in me me way back when i was with my ex, lol). If I got her friend interested in me then my ex would prolly say its OK if I get with her friend, even though she would hate it. That is my ideal situation right now. IIRC That friend of her's is great.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

maybe snow saturday/sunday?

theres a chance of getting alot.
That's why I have to get my Jeep done and moved out of the garage today/tomorrow. We are supposed to get hit late sat and sun. So my parents want the garage.
On top of that, my bro gets back from college for break tomorrow; so we have my car, my bro's SUV, my other bro's SUV, and my parents SUV's, (plus my Jeep). They all have to be off the road so the plows can do their thing... so that means that I have to hide the Jeep somewhere around the yard so we have the driveway/garage space for all the vehicles.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Getting an insurance quote right now. Maybe insurance and registration by the end of the day today. Oh yeah! :D

Edit: DAMNIT TO HELL! I hate getting ready to leave an hour or 2 early, then suddenly get a "this is high priority, please take care of it" email. Oh well, looks like it will be a bit longer before I can leave (wasnt leaving until 3:00 anyway, so hopefully this will be quick).

Haha I love my CTD. But when your MOM drove a '73 Cuda and an 87 Ramcharger with a 440 on 33s...it's kinda hard to one up them.

My mother's first car was a Plymouth Valiant in nasty dk green inside & out. My grandfather, who we lived with at the time, had a Duster with the Twister package. After the Valiant, she got a Caprice wagon, a Chevy Astro van and a Toyota Rav4, with a short stint in a 90XJ of mine while she found the Rav. That is all the cars she's had in her life, 4. Me on the hand is a diff. story. She literally drives the cars into the ground. I also know the cars because I have been alive for all of them. She is retiring in 2 yrs and is planning on buying a used Jeep to take with her out to AZ.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I won't get into my parents cars, er maybe I will. My mother and father bought something that I wont even talk about as their first car. I think my parents shared cars with siblings before they went to college and got married, so I never really heard about those.

My father went through "the car", an Isuzu Trooper, a grand Cherokee, dodge durango, GMC yukon denali (pimp), and now a chevy traverse.

My mother shared my fathers car at first, then I want to say she got a dodge caravan, followed quite possibly by another caravan (some other/newer mini van is all I remember), then a suburban, and another suburban.

My father always wanted a 69 Charger though (I think it was 69). One of my goals in life is that as soon as I get my house and it has a garage I will be finding one for him. Keeping it in the garage so he wont see it, and fixing it up for him. I know he won't spend the money on it himself so I will do it for him. Then finally he will have a nice car
