65 bucks on average from like quadratec type places.
85 bucks at the local napa
44 bucks from ebay

gotcha. Yeah I guess I got mine with the discount on a commercial account.

So I was looking around my mothers house on google maps because I'm buying it next year and wanted to see the property and look what I find behind it. I will def. be checkin this out sometime this week.

You know you should/could just make all that. A better gift would be the tools to make such items.

I do believe I did, except when I told my father the idea that "instead of buying other people gifts for Xmas, why dont we all just buy ourselves something that we really want" He didn't like that idea... so I bought myself gifts anyway :laugh: Only another $700-$1000 to spend by the time the end of the year rolls around. Then I will be wheeling ready.

You don't need anything alloy. 1018 will be fine, I just used it cause that's what I had.

I think I may need to visit harbor freight and pick up a press to use and make my own steel brake.. would make bending frame stiffeners easier, not to mention other armor.

Edit: Nevermind, I don't have the space for that. Unless I can convince my father to let me set up a bit of a shop in the basement somewhere.

but i wanna be cool like you!!! it has to be 1.25" thick minimuim, i was actaully looking through fastener catalogs for the set screw i wanna use for my own springless design.

you'd be making more work for yourself, ross. different alloys machine differently... and i doubt you'll be able to take big cuts without wearing stuff out super fast

I just hung the bill of sale and title of my comanche on my corkboard. I should be able to start work on it again tomorrow then I can move on to work on the Honcho.
