<begin drama> really dude? thought you got over yourself a long time ago, ive left you alone, so do the same, try taking your own advice for once, where were you and nick when his trackbar ripped off? oh, right, same "wildlife management area", stop preaching b.s when your just as guilty. theres no mention of what town, what property, or what trail we were on, on any forum or public place, and the pictures dont hint at any specific area, dont start crap when youve been there within the past month as well. kind of a hypocritical thing to do dont you think?<end drama> done.sorry all, had to be said.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

But I would need to cut a D44 down to make it stock width, sounds hard

I suppose I will just wait and do that eventually. Saves me money for the time being. Though before I can do a D44 I need a house or at least need to wait till the summer. After I get the floors done, new fuel pump in, and tank re-installed, I think the Jeep will be kicked out of the garage until the summer... and by Jeep I mean anything Jeep related.

Oh, that and I need a TIG. I should text my buddy tomorrow to find out how much his boss wants for the tig they got out back. IIRC he said it's a full generator (4 cyl?, something ridiculous) similar to something you would throw in the back of a truck. It was used for setting something up out behind his work (state owned stuff) and then just got left there years ago. It would need to be completely gone over and probably rebuilt, but apparently it's a real nice unit otherwise and his boss wants to unload it CHEAP just to get rid of it.

Illegal wheeler!!!

Enviromental police are on their way RIGHT NOW to whatever homeless shelter/ halfway house/ methadone clinic you're staying at ready to take you down with riot gear and tear gas and pepper spray and rubber bullets and tazers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So can anyone tell me how to read taps for tap and die sets? or maybe I am just being a bit :wierd:

Long story short I am still thinking about doing WJ knuckle conversion and want to just make my own drag link and tie rod. The tie rod & drag link that JKS sells is made of 1.25" x 0.350" DOM with 24mm threads. So if I were to use the same size, I would need a 0.5" tap with 24mm threads? I assume (probably incorrectly) that 24mm threads means 24 threads per inch? no clue how to find that or translate from all teh other numbers I am seeing and most of the damn sets online don't list what taps it comes with. :banghead:

Also I know I would need right and left hand thread taps... but would anyone care to enlighten me a bit on what I need to look for or if you know of any good sites/stores I could find the right tap?

The threads are metric. 24 mm is the base diameter. And the jks stuff is .375 wall fwiw. It's almost not worth buying taps. Just cut the threads on a lathe

On that thought: Imagine being hit by all of those... at the exact same moment :scared:

Eh, I've already been talked out of doing the WJ knuckes for the time being. Will probably be planning on doing it again in a week or 2.. but for now, I am not planning it.

Not to get in the middle of this, but Nick's track bar broke while we were wheelin' on private property.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well... I just sold the big red truck. I'll miss it and the good times we've had, but it's time to move on. I really needed the extra cash so I can have a bit more breathing room with rent / the shop / bills / etc and it was not getting used or driven at all. One of the guys from Mass Mudders bought it a few minutes ago. :(
