THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

want a fuel pump?
if he don't, I do! :D

I have my tank sitting in the garage right now, just finished welding in the floors (well, I have a couple touch up areas to do... but otherwise done). Now gotta swap out fuel pump. It always seemed to like to get pretty loud after I drove around for about an hour. Otherwise it was nice and quiet.

Figure I might as well swap it out now while the tank is already out of the Jeep. I mean, even if it's not bad... it's getting old either way.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from the Pats game. Had sweet seats. Thanks to Adam's girlfriend for those.

Also, my jeep officially needs a fuel pump. It won't start at all now.

Time to get crackin on that next weekend and fire up the welder. I need a non-gay skid.
Sweet.
Your skid is trashed.

I saw that awhile back, good deal if I didn't use Amsoil.
thats alot of work, and dont forget about all the bracing needed for the unibody to run the 60's
X2. I'd rather run a LP pass drop D60 before swapping tubes side to side.

Did he really? :flamemad:

i can help you do a "custom" gas tank relocation.
Do it. I'll even lend the sawzall blades.
can you help find a decent factory skid for a 84-96? I know someone in need!
I gave one to Mark at last year's snow run, I don't think he ever used it. PM him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The progress looks good, bill. Will you be offended if I attempt to recreate it on mine?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My floor pans look like **** because I am too lazy to grind down the welds. I need to get some line-x or something in there soon to cover it all up and make it look a bit cleaner.

Oh man, guess I shouldn't tell you about that time I drove over a family of Green And Red Venter Harlequin Toads then proceeded to do a wheelie landing directly onto a Northern Chinese Flying Squirrel. When I came down I punctured a small hole in my oil pan so I plugged the leak with a Peloponnese Slow Worm then I pulled the Red-throated Sunbird out of my grille and kept on wheeling through illegal property.:wave1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have to finish the transmission before I get into fab work. Hopefully that will be done by next weekend. And I need to take out the rest of the interior

Aww that must of been from the Rednose Stubfoot Toad. You see, I tried to 50/50 the toad's face with the Honcho like a skateboard.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So can anyone tell me how to read taps for tap and die sets? or maybe I am just being a bit :wierd:

Long story short I am still thinking about doing WJ knuckle conversion and want to just make my own drag link and tie rod. The tie rod & drag link that JKS sells is made of 1.25" x 0.350" DOM with 24mm threads. So if I were to use the same size, I would need a 0.5" tap with 24mm threads? I assume (probably incorrectly) that 24mm threads means 24 threads per inch? no clue how to find that or translate from all teh other numbers I am seeing and most of the damn sets online don't list what taps it comes with. :banghead:

Also I know I would need right and left hand thread taps... but would anyone care to enlighten me a bit on what I need to look for or if you know of any good sites/stores I could find the right tap?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

They've been making me sick, so I officially ignored the fact that they were on.

Must be nice to have that new fuel pump & tank sitting there waitin.

Yeah today's game was pretty good, at least we won. Brady is getting better. Moss got a few passes, but dropped 2 of them.

I'm definitely glad I got that tank/pump off ya. Thanks again.

alex (crosbike on here) was there today

you guys get soaked?

want a fuel pump?

Oh sweet! Where'd he sit? It wasn't too bad, I had like 3-4 layers on so I was warm the entire time.

I bought a pump/tank off Bump. It'll be nice to have 20 gallons again LOL.

The LH 24mm tap is expensive. If I were you, I'd skip the WJ setup unless you plan on keeping the D30 for a WHILE. It's worth it to go to a D44 if you want to upgrade your brakes/steering at the same time.

dana 44s have bigger brakes and better steering

There's a lot of better stuff on a D44, including the option for high steer. You can run the GM TREs on a D30 though if you ream it out.
