i think the hardest part about a custom 3 link is the fabrication of the crossmember.

I'm very tempted to try and do a custom 3 link... but I have to wait until I have my own place. I catch enough crap here at the rents house for spending time repairing my floors

ahhhhhhh I hate harbor freight now

their @$#^#$^#$^@#%^%#@^%%*ing double flaring kit is USELESS

first it flexed so badly the flare got all munged up, then it bent the tubing sideways on the next try, by the third try the wingnuts were so munged up inside I couldn't tighten it down at all on the tubing.

the hydro jack and everything else I've gotten there have performed as expected, however... hmmm. At least I only blew like ten bucks on this crappy kit, and I'm pretty sure I can use it with my decent-quality single flare kit from HD to do double flares.

What are you using this for?

Edit: deleted my double vs bubble flare stupidness, I remembered the difference :banghead: IIRC mine is double flare... so if you want to grab it feel free.

I'm practicing doing brake lines, because I need to do some on my 8.8 and I don't want any ghetto loops in the lines because of wrongly sized preflared lengths, but don't want my brakes to explode. BTW if you have a double flaring tool, it does bubble flares too - just don't do the second flaring stage and you get a bubble flare, according to a page I was just reading about building race car brake systems. This may be ghetto rig info.

Nah, your right. I was trying to remember if it it went double to bubble or the other way around. I edited my previous comment while you posted yours. And if you want to do it right, flaring it is great. If you want to do it cheap and easy, compression fittings do the trick. Granted I know they are not recommended, however I ran a compression fitting on my rear brake line for 2 years with 33's and never had a problem.

So yeah, I am almost 100% sure I have a double flare kit. Let me know if you want to borrow it. Not sure who makes it though, I found it in a box outside my buddy's house after his downstairs neighbor moved out. The guy was a mechanic so he dumped alot of random stuff, this was one of the only useful things though.

i work with an electrican, shes a property manager he does all her work. We were there today picking up somehting and i seen your jeep in the drive way ahah
