THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i feel poopy still. called out of work... i don't have a new primary care physician either so i have to go to a dumb walk in clinic thing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well so far you have not shown any proof of how "sketchy" there products are. :shhh:

It's an opinion, that's what it comes down to.

2"x5/16" wall is decent, probably won't bend that, however I wouldn't trust that setup behind anything but a D30.

My 44 already started bringin the hurt on my XJ just from the weight, and I don't want to drop in my 60 yet until everything is plated and I have a cage.

Sure it won't bind, sure it will flex, but they offer nothing over the competition.

My TNT setup cost right around $800 shipped when it was on sale, and I would definitely rather spend the extra $100 (after you add in adjustability on the IRO setup) for quality built longarms that are higher clearance, have better joints, come with a bellypan, and don't have that sketchy looking cam setup taking all the stress from locating the pinion.

of course you wont bend the 5/16" you will just snap that 10mm bolt first

oh and if you build a 60 you are no longer cool, just another kid who spends more time building and less time wheeling

Good call. 10mm taking all the torque = DUMB.

I'm doing it in steps. There won't be any down time for me except bolting a 60 in.

Long term:

- 3 link the front
- Rear traction bar
- Full stiffeners
- Cage (similar to/copy Bill's and Chris's)
- Once all that's done, throw tons under it

More currently:

- New gas tank/pump from Bump
- Reinforce the stock skid
- Mid frame stiffeners
- Maybe relocate axle-side track bar mount and throw on a drop-waggy pitman arm to get my full turning radius back

Woot, thanks for pointing TNT out. I was looking at theirs (I think it was theirs, VERY similar at least) a good long while ago.. Was going to get it but I couldn't remember for the life of me who made the setup. Now the problem is that I just don't see the 'recommended lift' on their site.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just to clear things up... I'm not defending IRO for a "real" rig, just saying I doubt I'll need anything stronger than their track bar (with a solid bar and a johnny joint instead of the TRE.) I don't like the look of that longarm kit either. And if I can't throw a johnny joint on the IRO one and don't end up buying Rob's JKS one, it's either RE or JKS...

Also, my lack of faith in Chrysler has been shaken to its very core. I pulled a headlight harness with fog connectors on it out of a pre-97 and it had two relays built into it. I haven't dug into it and figured out which lights they're for (hi/low beams or fogs) but I was surprised to see them there.

Now, if they had just used wire of a reasonable gauge...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No the only one I have is for me sorry. Theres plenty at the junkyards though.

thought so. no problem dude :) I'll check back at hollands and see if the one i was gonna get is still where I left it. I wonder what I could tell em its off of to get it the cheapest... should i say 89 cherokee? a 92 f150 with a straight 6? what would be the cheapest, or would it even matter much?
