But I just got the official "you can't keep it here, if you want it buy it and bring it somewhere to get fixed"... i.e. "bring it somewhere and pay thousands of dollars for what might be a pretty cheap fix if you do it yourself". Oh well, guess I won't be getting it either way.

No way in hell is that going to be a pretty cheap fix. Do you see that quarterpanel?
I don't see how the unibody wouldn't have been tweaked by that. Maybe not like Bill's, but still I'm betting it is tweaked.

Yeah, I saw it just before I Left work and had a post half typed up, just finished the post and such when I got home before I had time to look at it real good.

I still may go take a look at it (its a reason to get out of the office early), but yeah, not really expecting much

Edit: it's only 15 min from work so I think I gotta go take a look at it. Just incase something strange happened and the bumper bent down, breaking the bolts that hold it on (not facking the unibody), which caused the side of the bumper to push the fender flare up and into the body work... Chances are about 1 in 10000000000000, but still, If I get to leave work early it's worth it

Edit 2: Nah, im still dreaming. That unibody's facked. Still a good reason to leave work a few hours early. "I gotta go look at a car, so I gotta head out at 2.. See ya tomorrow".

Yeah that thing is TOAST. Rear right is tweaked out pretty bad.

So tonight's Jeep work is on the MJ, seems my friend with the honda / friend with the MJ (same guy) is now a fulltime MJ driver as soon as we fix his brake lines and gas lines... Slick road last night wherever he was + unfamiliar turn = Honda went under the front end of a large pickup truck.

sah weet. I want 85' of 3/8" line... We should see how many people would be interested in what, and maybe if we can get 3 or 4 people ordering the same thing we'll get a bit of a price break? :dunno:


SOOOOO. on that note..... is anyone else interested in some synthetic line for their winch??? i know some people have winches waiting to go on their rigs at the moment (Colin, Billy, Adam, Bill, Mark etc) and others that currently have them on their rig (Me....uhh, me...oh, well Anthony too I guess, but does he even count anymore??? ) so I guess post up if you might be interested in a group buy

hey you jerk. no i don't want one. i'm not going to waste a sweet line on my crappy winch is what it boils down to. besides... why spend $ on synthetic that you need to protect when you already have steel, and you can run that over and around whatever you want?

What is up with all these group buys on stuff? Not too long ago everyone all of a sudden wanted to do a group buy on hydro assists stuff.

Count me out Travis, I have no clue when I'm going to be getting around to my winch, and even then I don't plan on using it enough to warrant synthetic.

Because I've had steel cable for years now, and I've decided that I thoroughly hate it, for more than one reason. I've seen both steel cable and synthetic lines snap, and I know which I prefer. It's an extremely rare occasion that you need to run a cable over/around something, and I also hate how hard the steel cable is on the Jeep. Not to mention the obvious brownie points that synthetic rope earns in my book simply because you can get orange. Can you buy an orange steel cable for your winch? Didn't think so.

Count me out Travis, I have no clue when I'm going to be getting around to my winch, and even then I don't plan on using it enough to warrant synthetic.

no worries, just figured I'd ask what people thought I'll be getting synthetic regardless, so I figured if other people wanted it also, it would make sense to try and get a better price.

I have no problem with group buys.

We were going to get at least 10% off the hydro assist stuff when I called PSC so there's no harm done asking other people. What other group buys has he done...?

Travis, figure out a price and I may or may not be interested. I'd love synthetic as well.
