THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

^^^

I think my next Jeep is going to be a manual. I need to learn to drive standard sometime anyways.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't want to do a swap on my DD, I need to get to work. I'll probably blow 500 bucks on some janky dented up manual on craigslist in a few months or something... gotta worry about buying the house first.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have found one thing.. in my effort to save for a house, I have saved quite a bit to put towards the Jeep if I don't end up buying a house. :D
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I have enough to buy a LOT of Jeeps if I decide not to buy a house now... I have something like 8-10 months living expenses saved up. I'm gonna feel really really broke right after I sign the paperwork.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had a guy call me yesterday asking me questions about a YJ. He wants me to go look at it with him. He said it was a'95 with a 2.5L and 40k.

while the mileage is good, I'd strongly recommend against the 2.5L unless he's only going to wheel or plow with it. those dogs can't get out of their own way...everyone I know that has one complains about it and eventually grows to hate them.

Yeah, I need to save up a bit more.. If I find a house in a 100k price range I still can't make up even 10% down.

I wish I didn't lose my job in VA last year, I would have so much more saved up (or I would have spent all my savings on a new motorcycle like I planned on doing, and would have the same amount saved up, lol). But then again if I didnt lose my job chances are I wouldn't even be considering shopping for a house right now, so I guess it's good.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

heh... I've got 25% down on the place I'm trying to buy atm. It's taking a while (as I hoped it would) so I should be able to shoot for anything ten or fifteen grand above it if it falls through. I really hope it doesn't though, it seems like a pretty nice place and I should be able to fix it up with around 15k in materials (very, very conservative estimate!) so as long as I do all my own work when allowed to I should be good to go.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey everyone. This is a bit of an emergency. My jeep is 5 blocks up the street because there is no start on it. Idk whether to ask here or in my thread. So I'll just post in mine. I would appreciate anybody's help.

(I will explain in full detail there.)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

why? i have about 7 surcharges on my license from tickets in my jeep altered right hieght, tire stick out beyond body, bad sticker.

now i have 93 ford ranger 75k 5 speed 4 banger standard cab, for 500 bucks, just need to put a clutch in it.
the kid did a bunch of work to it, new shackles and a shackle hangers, new exhaust, new brakes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh man, that sucks... you above the altered ride height limit? Will the surcharges go away if you don't drive the Jeep on-road? I forget how that all works.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

no they go away off my insurance after 6 years, i pay up the ass now. i got a tires stick out beyond the body 3 weeks ago,

if i drive the ranger 90% and the jeep 10% I wont get as much as tickets, and i can beat the hell out of it and not worry about getting it fix before monday when i have to foto work

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wow that really sucks. You should move. lol. I dont get bothered by anyone around here. And I dont think other bigger jeeps get hassled either.
