THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So going to the bank tonight, making a deposit and checking how much I have in total. Then calling a guy from my class that has fancy little toy, and prolly gonna buy it from him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm going to be working late again tonight.

I think I'm going to have at least a full day off next week, possibly more.

Nice, I wish I got a day off next week.

What kindof fancy little toy?

Just scored 8 feet of 3"x6" 5/16th wall tubing and 10 feet of 3"x5" 1/4 wall tubing for building some trusses. the bigger, beefier piece is obvilously mine:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the other stuff is for Adam's and Colin's 60 builds which are trying to be as cool as me but mine will simply pull thru as the pimpest HP60 in these parts of the woods:D

there is another 10 foot piece of 3"x5" sitting there if youre interested.....

Oh man, blood pressure its very high, about to rip someone specific's head off.

bad time to tell you that im gunna max out your tig and give it a run for the money? 5/16th here i come!!! im thinkin ill bevel edges and do multiple passes....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, I would do multiple passes as it says 1/4 isn't really recommended.

Who wants to go drive their Jeeps on a nice Audi?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have no idea when I will build my D60.

Mine works too well right now to bother.

The only thing I really want to do is put on my bumper / winch when I get it from AJ, and then the suckdown winch up front that I got from Sam.

Are these connected? What happened?

Sam - I gotta stay a bit late at work today and finish up some stuff, would you be around tomorrow evening at around 5-6 if I showed up? I can either show up tomorrow evening or get the stuff off you at the M&G, either way works for me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How hard is it to make them in a vertical mill? I imagine cutting the rounded side would be difficult. Actually, a friend of mine is working on CNC-izing his mini mill (the ones with like 6" travel on each plane) so I'll have to ask him how hard it'd be to make a bunch of various sizes. He uses a motor driver we built using STMicroelectronics L297 and L298 chips, a bunch of International Rectifier MOSFETs, and a laptop running linux.
Not that hard, but also not anywhere near worth my time for the few dollars (I have to buy a pack of 25).
don't the Honda engineers call the caps off those pistons or something?
No, those would be the 1210 u-joints.
I think you're all super extremely intelligent.
Fixed.
Everyone and their "tons."
Fixed again.

Darn it Mark, am I going to have to correct all your posts? :D

On another note, 7 months, 2 weeks, 3 days and 6854mile old BruteForce joints are toast on the driveshaft my truck (yes, I keep meticulous records). I had to replace them as one was so bad I didn't have a choice and had to pick them up, I thought they'd last longer than this. Oh well, ~$50 later and I know have Spicer Life series replacements on the way.

If anyone wants them I know a guy with a 14 bolt and a D44 8 lug out of a 'burban. He said he'll let it go cheap with wheels and tires.

How cheap is "cheap"? What year 'burban? Willing to rid of just the rear?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i want a burban

As in the large SUV (meaning you dropped the apostrophe)? Or, did you misspell and mean "bourdon"? Or, do you really mean a "A disgusting common person who lives in Suburbia whom are usually poor and fat"?
