Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
From another forum....
Frosty:
hey kazu, you didnt mention how well your license plate modification worked driving through hopkinton.
Kazu:
I wish I took pictures, but I didn't want to push it.
We where staying at the Sandy Beach Camp ground and we were going to go help out at the fair grounds for the show and Lucas and Jon were like, "Why don't you just drive it there?" and I was like," Naw man It's still on the trailer." and they were like " So why don't you drive it there?" and I was like "Fine."
So I drove it there and passed a cop in a Dodge Charger and the cops that drive those are Sargents usually. He just gave me a WTF look and kept driving so I thought I was all set.
Once we were done helping out I started driving it back and I got about half a mile and another cop passed me in a standard cruiser. He didn't keep going, he flipped it around and pulled me over. I remained calm because I knew I was legit. I handed him my license and registration and he asked me what I was doing. I replied that I was helping "Construct" the rock course for the show.
He went back to his cruiser and took a while. During the wait two more cruisers stopped by and checked out the rig and were probably trying to decide what to do with me. When the officer came back he asked "Wow man you made this?" since it's registered as a home made construction vehicle "It's pretty cool." He let me go and said, " Don't let me catch you ripping around town with this because I don't want to have to tow you."
I didn't want to push it by arguing that I was completely legit so I kept my mouth shut about it and said " Yes sir, have a nice day."
According to Roy, the same cop swung by the fair grounds later and admitted that he couldn't site me for anything.

Roy:
Yeah he was blown away that you were legal, "never saw that one done before". He'd heard of aggy plates, antique plates, hot rod and a few others, but this was a new one. I am sure there is gong to be new legislation over this.
and what was Kazu driving, on the road?
And I'm proud to say, I was there to see him get pulled over, and drive away ticket-less
