just got inspected... passed with flying colors with a fubar NSS (everything works right except my reverse lights), they wouldn't stop playing with the airhorn and were impressed by the nearly brand new springs/shocks/brake lines. Looks like I'm rebuilding my NSS this weekend :dunno:

So I'm debating with myself whether or not I want SRW or DRW 1 tons.

SWR: Dana 60 front 14 bolt rear on H2s and ~12.5" wide tires
Pros
~77" Wide

Cons
-Too Narrow? (Less wide than it is currently and the tires are only about 1" sticking out of the fenders)
-More $$$
-Aluminum rims that are harder more money to make into beadlocks
-I have to inboard my springs under the frame to even use a SRW axle out of anything but a Jeep truck. If i'm going to inboard I would shorten the wheelbase at the same time. Which is alot more work.

DWR: Dana 60 front Dana 70 rear on H1s ~12.5" wide tires
Pros:
~80+" wide( Probably come out to where i'm at now)
-True beadlocks
-DRW axles are cheap $400-500 for a set is what I could get
-I don't have to inboard/shorten my wheelbase right away which I would rather wait on until i'm more comfortable welding.

Cons:
The axles i'm looking at has external front locking hubs. Although if they break I would just get 35 spline outers and drive flanges.

It looks like I really might jump on the DRW but i'm not 100% yet. The more I think about it the gayer h2s sound.

and on a side note, I got the front bushwackers on today before work. They'll at least cover some of the tire :viking:

damn. I'm gonna be with DWE at carnage hill/swanzey the whole weekend, I want to go to Lobsterfest but it's only one day wheeling and no camping, whereas with the DWE weekend I'll go up Friday night and stay all weekend... I'll try and bug ya some weekend though

not for sale, just put em on my Jeep for inspection purposes. Did I say they were? Sorry for the confusion...I got them off of Jon (redneckboarder) for cheep! (Thanks again Jon!)

As said, I need to focus on school after lobsterfest. This is one reason why I might not have my Jeep at lobsterfest. So after January when I'm on co-op I'll be down.

fair enough on the school thing. And I'd be willing to trade with ya, but the DS flare is cut out for an ARB snorkel, and they have some cracks and some of the bolts have pulled through and need bigger washers now...They're in OK shape, but not that great. Fine for my Jeep :gee: i dunno about yours. Hey, would I be able to take a ride down to your place on Friday morning to get the wheels/tires perhaps? I'd really like to try and get a sticker on Saturday. If you've already got something planned for getting the sticker this weekend then don't worry about it, though. Just figured I'd check

im trying to sell my truck and but a late 90s cummins with a stick of similar price to mine if that is any consolation, i cant really afford a new one
