Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hope it doesn't come to that. but if the detroit blows up I guess I might as well

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Long post to come…
ok, if its too bad i guess i can get an adjustable one from summit.
That was the plan when I did the wife’s. So far so good, stops great no prop valve mods.
After pulling 3 consecutive valves, and as we are walking in the door to pay for everything, I ask Colin, "You did check to make sure all those ZJ's had disc brakes, right?"
His response was "uhhhh...."

Carmelo ran out and checked, and only 1 was from a ZJ with rear discs.
Nice!

...I was bored at work. :DThat totals $1825 plus shipping, plus the cost of the axle, plus any potential for needing to replace brakes etc. Still not bad though, all things considered.

Edit: you do need to remember, though, that this list doesn't include hi-steer arms, which IIRC are about $250 ish for a d60
Dude those prices are WAY high and you have things that aren’t needed.
$245 for Poly’s flanges is not worth it when you get get them from the place that makes Poly’s for $199.95 (SummitMachine)
$380 is $90 more than I paid for my lockright shipped, shop around.
You don’t need a new carrier for the front D60 gears, just run a “thick” gearset and save the cash.
$354 is a bit much for gears/install. I recall paying less than that.
i love lego's
Nah, old school erector sets are where it’s at.
pulled the o ring as well and the brakes are mint
Isn’t the problem with that being you could lose all your brakes if one line fails? The o ring isolates the front from rear, IIRC.
some of that stuff like all the brakets i will make myself so money will be saved there, but i didnt mention about goin full hydro for steerin, i havent even looked into pricing for that
I’m “budgeting” $1100 for hydro.
that aint even the right locker silly, frt 60's are 35 spline
He’s used to wimpy D44 shafts. ;)
only cool kids run 60's in front
Yes.

actually, i've never run a "wimpy" D44 shaft  And to be honest, I initially didn't even look at the spline count, just searched "Dana 60 lock right" and got that link first. Forgive me, your holiness!! :worship:
