travis what prop valve do i need for the rear disk conversion?

:dunno: mine work fine. i think some of the brake-stuff changed in 94/95 though, maybe ask colin about his?? he's got a 91 also

i bought a zj prop valve with rear disks. all ya gotta do is swap out the spring. i did that and my rear brakes sucked. did that and pulled the o ring as well and the brakes are mint

After pulling a front driveshaft for his brother, Colin was like "hey, lets pull these ZJ prop valves. "

After pulling 3 consecutive valves, and as we are walking in the door to pay for everything, I ask Colin, "You did check to make sure all those ZJ's had disc brakes, right?"
His response was "uhhhh...."

Carmelo ran out and checked, and only 1 was from a ZJ with rear discs.

i thought my spool made my jeeps steering suck. then i got the correct pitman arm and it aint so bad. only sucks when the front end is light

i may still go spool, its will be a trailer queen and the turning thing shouldnt be bad since ill have a atlas, i could either drop it into 2wd or do a dig

speaking of hydro steering, when are we going to get a more serious group buy for that shit? personally, I don't know exactly what I want/need, so ideally for me, I just want to buy a kit where they say "here's your hydro assist kit. tap your box, screw in these hoses, mount this ram, bleed the system, and turn that wheel with 1 finger!!" Not, "here's the ram. the rest of the random little shit that you won't be able to track down....is sold seperately." know what i mean? :gee:

what i like about the spool: nothing to break

there are times im glad its back there.

the only place i dont like it is on sharp corners on pavement. on hot days i leave a distinct patch of rubber wherever i turn

yeah i was just looking at that. and I was thinking also... my problem with building shit is I find it too easy to justify spending more. for example. I'd probably end up with a detroit over the lock right, figuring "well it's only $200 more to have the full case detroit over a lunchbox locker...and now's the time to do it if i'm gonna...eh XXXX it, yeah we'll get the detroit" :laugh3:
