There's a M-715 down the street from my friends house for sale and I drool over it every time I drive by.

Realistically, M715s are pieces of crap. Drivetrain sucks from start to finish. Huge truck with a small engine. The 1 tons under it have very few splines and they might be smaller shafts than more modern dana 60/70s or something wacky like that. I wouldn't buy a M715 unless I had the time, money and fab skills to completly go through one. It would need(in my opinion) huge axles, huge diesel and it would look sweet with semi truck wheels and tires.

Nah dana 35 rear and 27 front. Then I'll call Advanced Adapters and have them make a plate to bolt a VW 8V 1.8L to a BA-10. Sounds like a plan

Although I like Mini Coopers I think I am speaking for everyone in MA/NH that we would just use it as a RTI ramp...and yes, that is a threat.
