I just had to clean up the swamp mess that was my Jeep.

Not fun, but all packed for Fall Crawl already except for tent/chairs/clothes.

Did you ever end up getting spare shafts? If not i'm available all this week to go to a JY if you want. I'll pick them up for whatever they cost if you want, god knows I won't be too busy with anything other than school. Let me know, otherwise I'll just bring my stubs with me when we go to FC.

so it looks like the "drive it home" position may be taken by a friend of mine from college... and this vehicle may be purchased from Fort Drum out in NY instead.

Current problems:
* I'm betting they won't let me drive it off the base uninsured, unregistered, and uninspected. Anyone have the hookup with someone with a BIG wrecker capable of towing a 9 ton army truck at least a few miles so we can throw some plates on it and get it moved?
* it might need mechanical work. listed as starts with a jump, runs.
* as an aside, they have a crapload of CUCVs for sale also... I know nearly zip about axles and such, but you guys might want to take a look. Check under mil vehicles on govliquidation.com and see what you can find. Fort Drum and Fort Meade are probably the best bet for us in NAC.
