yea se sent me a photo of them looks to be in good shape i mostly need the triming in the rear so i can toss on the rears and take my time to figure a cheap way to do the the signal light

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I did notice they're pressed rather than being machined out (for the contact surfaces anyways) now, but it worked for me... the crappy 8mm wrench I had before just rounded the points on the CV yoke bolts, the Craftsman one got the job done. My micro drivers break repeatedly but usually it's because I'm putting way more torque then you're supposed to on them.

EDIT haha Bob yeah that too.
those bolt heads are 5/16 not 8mm. there is a .0625mm difference (.0025")... not a huge deal but i like to know i'm using the right size. FWIW the cross pin retaining bolt in the 8.25 is also a 5/16 head. ask me how i know.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony, send it my way. After the money you owe me, everything additional to it I'll spend 70% of it on my XJ then donate the other 30% to land use in your name. :)

Oh, and build your own arms. Buy some joints and tube and you'll be way ahead of the game. Both strength and cash wise.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

shoot, i never paid you did i?

yes sir. i need to do a x member too but that was on the list anyway. i'm not gonna lie though, i don't know much about designing my own 3 link.

Nope. I'm not worried, you'll get to it sometime. :)

Oh, I thought you wanted new short arms.
If you want you can get on the waiting list behind Colin for something like mine or I'll sit down with you and show you what I know if you are serious.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i will pay you. one of these days...

i'm not sure what i want to do for control arms. if i'm going to buy custom joints and get tubes and whatever then my opinion is why not just go for gold and do a 3 link. i just dunno yet. i will let you know and thanks for the offer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you guys think $40 is a fair price for a set of tj flare with no turn signal lights?

As said above if they're in decent shape, yes. But you can buy a full new set with hardware for not much more than $100.

The lights are short money, usually less than $10 each if you decide to set em up & fill the void.

rock krawlers joints are cheap and crappy, and the rubber bushings on re's arms dont last long either, mine only lasted 3 wheelin trips

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

great, so what should i do other than make my own 3 link with hard joints all around?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just wait and do it right the 1st time, have bill help you with a 3link
