THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

we had an accord with a rear drum that was broken at the hub today. The inside of the drum would spin with the wheel and the outside would stay put. Kinda funny is that guy didn't even notice it pulling. Just a little sound.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ugh! i uploaded them to my lappy yesterday. i'll put them up tomorrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That works for me. Tomorrow or Thursday is best, I get out of here around 6:30ish so I could be over there shortly after that. Or if you get out earlier I could skip the gym and be over there around 5:30ish.
I usually get out earlier, around 5-5:30 - tomorrow won't work as I'm bailing at 3 to help run an amateur radio exam session in Worcester, so probably Thursday. I'll throw the thing in the back of my car and cart it around till we meet up - cell is 774 922 2854, if you go down reed rd to the end, take a left onto Marlborough rd, then turn into the Intel lot up near the walkway to the right end, look for a white XJ with an airhorn on the front, that's about where I'll be. I can also drop it off wherever you are if that's more convenient.

Today a friend of mine called me from Sam's and said there is a beautiful MJ there due to cash for clunkers if anybody wants parts or just to pay respects.
Yeah it's been there about a week or so now :( maybe more. It was in really beautiful shape when it got there, people have no respect... ultra nice black one, body in very good shape. I think someone actually broke the header panel off of it rather than remove the bolts but I wasn't looking that closely.

my OBA air tank and U-bolts are here... this is gonna be a good weekend for the angle grinder!

Ok no problem, Thursday it is. I'll give you a call when I'm heading over.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so i've pretty much convinced myself i may need to get some bilstein 7100s when i can scrounge up some cash to get them. i'll get a long enough travel so if / when i go longarms i'll be able to keep the same shocks, and they should be good enough shocks to stay with me for a long time. good idea?

I'd only get them for the front. 7100s would be a great buy, rebuildable and you can change the valving. You'll probably need a short body shock with the amount of lift you have, and a 10-12" would be perfect though with short arms you wouldn't use it all.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah i only need shocks up front, i still have enough travel out back since i raised the rear shock mounts about 1.5-2". i'm helping my buddy's girlfriend move some shit with my truck tomorrow night and they're apparently going to pay me, hopefully it'll buy me some shocks!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

get the 12" travel if you're planning to get longarms...but yeah. definitely good idea.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmmm you can only get the short body shocks with a reservoir, so they become like 30 or 40 bucks more each with the reservoir. how much do you guys think a used set of OME nitrochargers can net for up front, selling them back?

longarms are nowhere in the budget now, but i won't want to have to buy a new set of shocks AGAIN if i do go longarms when i graduate, for example

thats how they become a "short body".... instead of storing the fluid in the body of the shock, they shorten the body of the shock and use the reservoir to store the fluid instead :)

thats what i was trying to say; if you think you'll get longarms, go with the 12" travel shocks...it would be pointless to buy shocks that *could* last you "forever", only to wish you had initially gotten something with a longer travel.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yep... you guys suck on not keeping me from being all spendy. damn, oh well. travis, what kind of shocks are you going to be running (if ever) on your rig?

jackass. :D

bilstein 5125s in front with 12" travel and edelbrock performers in the rear :) and i'll be running them soon, thanks for asking :twak:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think we should setup a work party at Marks to help him get his jeep drivable so he'll actually come wheeling. Once Travis's and Bill's jeeps are done, we could all go down and pound it out in a day.

I'm tired of seeing his jeep with a sad face in the backyard.

Umm, yaaaaa. I'm going to need this done by Saturday, mmm-kay? Ya that would be great...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha nice.

Hey now that I'm back and done with classes, when would be a good time for me to come up and hopefully get it finished?
