THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's the same one at the end of this video, I was nervous as hell going down it since I didn't walk it beforehand lol.

hahaha, i just gave it hell. i didnt even know where the trail was half the time. plus, my brakes made way more noise. i think the shoes/drums are officailly toast now, they were on last legs 2 years ago:wierd:

next time, if its dryer and nice out, i want to try going up it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

AWESOME DAY! My jeep actually did pretty damn good for its shakedown run. i needed to trim the front fenders a bit more or actually secure the hockey puck bumpstops, since i cut up one of my tires after the hockey pucks slid out of the coil, but the tire is still good. Sheep somehow managed to pee on all four of my new tires throughout last night and today. ECTED worked awesome. Rt 32 in MA sucks a nut though, since its such a horrible road. Nothing bad happened mechanically during the run, but the jam nut from the trackbar shook loose on the ride home so I had a hour + detour looking for a 1.25" box wrench at 7pm on sunday night. Vicegrips got me home to tighten it up kinda. Ninja trees took a nice smash to my passenger rear door, and some other body damaage but holy crap it was awesome!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Holy sh!t i'm jealous...

My Honcho kicks a thousand dicks into the sun now though, and I watched it do it so don't question me and yes I counted it was a thousand(plus three turtles). After Ross welded my cab mount down i've been tooling on it on the road trying to scare myself. It blasts ass up to around 75mph pretty well and is eerily smooth. Tomorrow I'm ripping out the pitman arm so it can get reemed so I'll be wheeling soon.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also am I to understand that both Ross and Billy got towed home at the end of today? Badass

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm so tired.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from Mark Dupont's house. Spent all of 5 seconds pullling the pitman arm off. No heat, no special tools, I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Man, it's not a big deal. Tension the pitman arm with the puller, whack the pitman arm and it pops. Then just pull it the rest of the way off with the puller.

I'd have to say you got pretty lucky. But that's not a bad thing at all.

Get the thing done so we can go wheeling!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark has never had a problem with them either. I have a tough time believing it was luck. That pitman arm has been on there for 30 years and the splines are plenty rusty. I think everyone else is a dumb butt.
