and btw 27x1 1/4 is not uncommon at all. it's old. it was staged out during the early 90s/late 80s for the most part. a lot of shops still carry those tires though and they can be found cheaply enough. it depends how neatly you want to do the fixie. if you do a new chain, crank, rear sprocket and rear hub (might as well get a whole rear wheel at this point)... you could be looking at a few hundred bucks.

I know some people who have a fixed gear bike, I never saw the point of it.

that's what i'll find out when i have the day off on friday. if it involves a new axle, new wheel, new bearings, and $100 or $200 in new crap, i'm not sure as to what i'll do with it

fixies are really fun to ride. the coolest thing to do is run no brakes. axles are cheap. just get the parts and do it yourself. and that's what i posted on your facebook post too.

i'm not going to put on the 33s until i get the alignment dialed in perfectly to not wear them more than necessary outside of wheeling. anyone around this weekend to help fine tune it? i want to get some miles on the gears anyways so i've got no problem taking a trek

soo im thinking about getting rid of the mj (NOT c4c).
ballpark, what do you think would be a fair price?

no power windows, no cruise,everything works(even the hood release still.)
column shifter aw4
but has a t-case installed, driveshaft shortened and balanced,ready for a front axle to be put in,longbed
no rot,very solid,minor dings
184 on the clock,
bone stock, and comes with a cap(that ive hated since i got it.)
wife doesnt like it so much,and would rather have a yj or cj(power to her)
and i really cant bring myself to make a trail rig out of such a nice mj.
