THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin, why the hell do you need a D60, other than to say you have a D60?

Hmm, would this ram fix my steering wandering?
Mark's just jealous 'cause when Colin does he'll still be wishing he actually wheel'd like he does. Heck, I'm in that position now!
I think I had 1.5-2* of camber on driver side. The inner C is bent on driver side.
Perfect time for these or these. Of course, you'll need the rest to go with it. Or, you could stick with what you have and go with these.
Still tempted to go out and get a PS3.
Isn't that some sort of gaming system? Ugh... spend some time in the garage dude! Kill brain cells with gas/oil/cleaner/welding fumes not TV time.
Umm ya, let me think about that again.

Built HP44 with Hydro assist... And 33's...
Hey, nobody told you you had to keep those 33s.

? Sorry Bill, having a little hard time understanding. I'm going to be jealous of Colin when he wheels, or Colin will be jealous because he won't wheel anymore?

If I did replace them, which I'm not going to until something happens, I was planning on that. NO D60 stuff, but I could have sworn I saw the orange Reid racing inner C's for the D44.
I built the axle so I wouldn't have to upgrade stuff on it, so that it would be more than enough and wouldn't need to undergo surgery again. I think the inner C got bent when I was trying to remove a frozen ball joint stud from the knuckle, and did not discover it until I had the axle under the jeep during assembly.
To fix it now, I would need to tear the axle down, cut off the inner C, remove the axle, then bring it up to school, get supervision, and then weld the axle on.

Ya, but there is a point where I can't stand working on cars because sh*t just goes wrong, or I find more stuff that needs fixing, and that costs money.
Plus, I will only really be near my garage for 2 weeks at the end of August, and then the next possible time that I will really be around my garage, without going through a tough process of getting home, would be next January. And that is only IF I go home for co-op again. If not, then the next time would be 2 years.

No, but I love the tires I have, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on tires right now when I really don't need them. I also don't want to just go to 35"s because everyone else is going to 35's. I don't respond to peer pressure, unless I want to do it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why do you think you're just going to blow sh*t up and that its a ticking time bomb? Its a HP44.

With the same size u-joints as a D30.

I never said it was a ticking time bomb, hell it's been taking everything I've thrown at it so far but sorry, I like overkill after having my D30 incident.. The center section may be stronger than a D30, but the u-joints/stubs are still weak.

If I want beadlocks and bigger/heavier tires, it's NOT going to hold up unless I sink some serious cash into it (i.e. full case lockers, chromos, ctms, etc).

i kinda miss winter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I miss winter too but I don't miss no heat in the garage. At least I can work on my junk in a t-shirt instead of a full carhart one piece.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

how about the opening scene of boondock saints?
kickass AND its in Boston.

Ya, pretty much the entire movie was shot in Boston.

Here is my friend and the LUVMYJP plate in front of the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel, where they fall through the ceiling and kill everyone.

I want to eat a crazy 2 pound mexican burrito!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm thinking about getting a decent 110v flux core welder. Most of those welders leave the option to use gas later on too. I don't have the option of buying a 220v welder since I live in an apartment building and i'll be doing all my welding in my tiny backyard or in the parking lot when no one is looking.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, this weekend I'm hoping to make some nice progress on my Jeep... supposed to be beautiful outside. Wish me luck!! :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well, it *would* be finished...but I didn't get that "Do NOT build your rig with peanut butter!!!!!" memo, so I need to do alot of stuff over. Shaping alloys and CTMs and a detroit and frame stiffeners etc etc etc, all out of peanut butter, is no small task. Now I think I'll go back and give it a try with some Fluff and see how that goes. I don't think that there were any "Do NOT build your rig with fluff!!!" memos, so I should be good to go.

Wish me luck! :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

shape the fluff and then freeze harden the stuff...it becomes a brick when cool enough. This can be your winter wheelin rig.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yes, good idea :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

FLUFFFFFF. hardened fluff.
