I guess I don't always follow the most logical path.....I use vices when I need them, but mainly have been able to deal with using a few C-clamps and other hard surfaces.

I really want to get that fancy vice that plugs into the 2" receiver, or just have a regular vice mounted to a plate that can plug into the 2" receiver....but I want a lot of things!

just picked up a 2000 xj blown engine (cracked head rod threw motor) $200 no rust, black non molested. i think i might be swaping my drive train over.

auto but im considering swaping everything over from the gold jeep to the new one,

4 door black auto. but dentless and rustless.

anyone know if theres a big difference between the 2000 and 99 emission systems?

yeah i think it is, kid said it didnt have any but it looks as if it does. o well my current rockers are rusted and almost non existant from being smashed.

Ok, I can understand not having a press or whatnot but how do you not have a vice? I thought besides screw drivers and a hammer a decent vice was the very first tool someone bought?

I live in an apartment building and don't have enough room in my bedroom to put a shop bench and a vice otherwise I would have one. I would do it outside if it wasn't pouring out with whatever I could find.

Okay okay, Noone go to brockton tomorrow. There is no Mud Bog contest. They are just digging the hole tomorrow and the actual contest is on sunday. Be there between 9:30 and noon to enter and it starts around noon.

A)mudbogs suck, deepwoods show is where its at

B)i already put in the order before i thought about ujoints i may put in another order tonite when i get out of work, as i got to get a quieter muffler for my moms jeep, how are the precition super joints? and we got 1310 ujoints for the rear drive shaft right?

c) i got a few vices buried in the basement the old and crappy, and nhrocker gots a sweet one that mounts into a 2" reciver, a vice is next on my tool list when i go shopping again

A) I agree, BUT i'm not able to compete in it YET. I can compete in the mud bog.

so? Mr. bigshot carmelo over here... I'd MUCH prefer to go to an awesome event and enjoy being there, over go to a mediocre boring thing just because I'll do well competing...and covering my rig with disgusting slop in the process, while hanging out with dumbasses who don't know what a locker does. :dunno: to each his own I supposeeee.
