THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha, I wouldn't scrap it entirely, I'd keep the axles and a few other things and part out and sell the rest.

But its funny you mention that, because throughout the course of the morning, I've been building a new Jeep in my head (I often do this when I get bored).

The specs on it are:
Yellow '97+
Same axles, except full truss on the rear 44.
4 links front and rear
Adjustable airbag suspension with computer to control it (my friend has this in his TJ)
36"s
Nice rockrails
Console inside to controll all the electronics/gadgets
Halo cage
And one nice thing my green Jeep hasn't had the chance to enjoy in years, a fresh coat of wax.

Funny, the entire time I had the Jeep pictured in my mind, it was on pavement, more particularly the streets of Boston around my school.

I don't think I really imagined it offroad much.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha so I was right!!! that makes me sad...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If I ever did build this Jeep, I would not hesitate to wheel it.

I think airbag suspension would be pretty sick. I love it on my friends TJ.

This was before he put his 37 pitbulls on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

woohoo! response on pirate PM :)

I said to him:

Cool, nice to know I've got some options. The superior imports/domestics...the difference would be the imports being the Discovery series and the domestics the Evolutions, if I understand correctly? What's the warranty terms on the discoverys and whats the warranty on the Nitros, exactly?? also, between the imported superiors and the Nitro's, which would you personally suggest, and why?
Thanks very much for your time; it won't be wasted! I'll be ordering one of these sets from you in the near future and while I scrape the pennies I really appreciate any information/suggesitions you can offer.
Travis Bryand

and his response:

The superior and Nitro imports are identical shafts. Nitros have a lifetime warranty, superiors have a 10 year warranty on disco series. There evolution series has a lifetime.
The nitros and superiors are great shafts, induction hardened double heat treated 4340, if you are overloading a 44 w/ big tires the stubs are just weak do to size and it may be worth the extra money to get the Superior Evolution Stubs as they are the strongest but they are twice as expensive.
I recomend full NItros or superiors import up to 38's and stock motor, anything past that needs superior outers. anything ridiculous bigg motor 42's needs a dana 60. Thanks, Chase

so I think I'm still stuck between the Nitros and Superior Discoveries.... Nitro's got the lifetime warranty, but I like the Superior name and reputation/foundation as a well established and good company... not to mention 10 years is longer than I'll ever need at the rate I change setups in my Jeep :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's a cool picture...but in all honesty I do like Colin's rig the most out of the 5 entries. 44s locked/geared, long arms, etc... plus he's Colin. and he could use a self-esteem boost.

:looser: :shhh:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want the rain to stop so I can put the Jeepy back in the driveway to get it ready for stiffeners and steering and whatnot... Ugh...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
